Trekking In Bhutan (Jhomolhari Trek)

: 18 Days /17 Nights , 10 days of trekking.
: March –May, September –November.

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
. Transfer from Airport to the Hotel .Leisure

Day 2: Delhi -After breakfast Visit to Qutab miner , Lots Temple a Gatein ational Museum ,Red fort and Jama Masjid Overnight at the Hotel

Day 3: Flight to Paro
On arrival at Paro international Airport, you will be received by a representative of Himalayan Frontiers, Check in Hotel .After lunch visit Ta – Dzong (Museum) over night at the hotel .

Day 4: Paro – Sight seeing to Visit Pa Chu to Drugyel Dzong the ruined Fort, typical Bhutanese farm house.

Day 5: Paro – Shana, first day of trek   (2800m, 5-6h)Trek 1
Drive up to Drugyel Dzong where the road ends and the trek begins, following the river gently up hill through a marrowing agriculture valley. Camp is just beyond an army post, Distance -17km,


Day 6: Shana – Soi Thangthangkha (21km, 7/8h)                                                       Trek 2
Continue uphill through river valley. It narrows and closes in end The trail.

Day 7: Soi Thangthangkha - Jangothang  (4040 m , 5- 6h)                                         Trek 3
On up the Pa Chu pass a small army post where the valley begins to widen again. Now view of high ridges and snow–capped peaks are around. Distance-19, about.

Day 8: Jangothang – Halt,                                                                                                  Trek 4
Trek up to Tshophu for fishing or there are stupendous day hike.

Day 9: Jangtothang –Lingshi, (4150 m, 6 h) Trek 5
Wide yak pastures, Great view of Lingshi Dzong, Distance-19 kms.

Day 10: Lingshi – Halt, (4500 m, 5-6 h)         Trek 6
On the day halt at Lingshsi is a day excursion to Tshokha (Lakh)i.e, Base camp of jichu Drake can be done. Distance 19 kms about

Day 11: Lingshi – Halt , (3963 m, 7-8 h)        Trek 7
The trail ascends up to the Yalila pass (4820) from the pass Mount Chomolhari. Tserim kang and Masagang can be seen on a clear day /distance 22kms.

Day 12: Shodu - Barshong , (2628 m, 3-4 h)                                                                  Trek 8
Follow the Thimphu–chu though the forest. Ascending up to the ruins of Barshing Dzong, Distance 13 kms.

Day 13: Barshong-Dolam Kentcho, (3628 m, 3-4h)                                                      Trek 9
Descending and following gradually the forest of thicker Rhododendrons and ascending up to pasture land. Camp, 11kms.

Day 14: Dolaman Kencho – Thimphu, Last day of trek, 4-5 h                                   Trek 10
Continue up-hill through the forest to a small pass. The wild animal like Languor can be seen Where at Dodian we meet the transportation Distance - 14kms about, Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15: Thimphu - Punakha/Wangdi/BACK.

Excursion with pack lunch to Punakha and wangdi valley. Visit punakha Dzong. Drive back to thimphu and overnight at the hotel.

Day 16: Thimphu Sighseeing
A full day sightseeing , visit the handicrafts emporium , workshop where all the handicrafts produced if you like. Afternoon visit Tashichho dzong and National Memorial chorten Overnight at the hotel.


Day 17: Thimphu –Paro-Delhi
Morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Delhi. Assistance upon arrival and transfer to the Hotel, Evening at leisure Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 18. Delhi onward Destination
