LAND OF MAHARAJA
Rajasthan, the land of Maharaja, is India at its exotic and colorful best. This is the home of the Rajputs, its exotic atmosphere extends to far more than just splendid fort for the Rajasthanees themselves are a brilliant splash of color. Men top their outfit with a huge, pastel colored turban. Women wear the colorful bright mirrored skirt.

Geographically Rajasthan is dry and inhospitable place. A line drawn south-west to north-east divides the state into the hilly and rugged south-east region and the barren north-east Thar desert, which extend across the border in to Pakistan.

Rajasthan also has school of miniature, painting derived from the Moghul style.This art carried through to the elegant palaces the Rajputs built when they were freed of confrontation with the Moghul. There are many buildings from 10th to 15th century including jain temple of Ranakpur and Jaiselmer, most of the great forts date in their present form the Moghul period.

Rajasthan has usual Indian festival as harvest festival of Gangaur is particularly important, Teej at the end of Aug or beginning of Sep. There are many fair but best known of which is the immense and colorful cattle fair.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi,
Transfer and Night in hotel.

Day 02:Delhi-Mandawa (Nawalgarh)

5 to 6 hours drive by minibus or jeep to the Shekawati region. Visit of the fort and some havelis in Mandawa, a charming town built in the 18th century. Afternoon visit Nawalgarh founded in 1737 by Nawal Singh, its painted Haveli's, explore the town, night in hotel.

Day 03: Mandawa (Nawalgarh) to Bikaner
Drive early morning, on the way visit some beautiful Havelis in Fathepur, famous for its wall paintings and continue to Bikaner, hotel. Evening visit Bikaner fort.

Day 04: Bikaner to Jaiselmer, (The Golden city)
Leave early morning, to visit the world famous temple of rat (Karni Temple at Deshnukh). After a 6 hour drive, you will reach Jaisalmer, bewitching citadel at the gate of the desert. It is a former step to the caravan roads, a very charming place: you can have a stroll in the market, see the sunset near to Gadi Sar, a kind of lake. Night in a hotel.

Day 05: Jaiselmer:
Leave to visit fort Gadisar, Jain temple, Patwon ki Haveli and salim singh Haveli, Afternoon excursion to Sam dune, enjoy the camel ride and later sun set against the dune, back to hotel for over night stay.

Day 06: Jaiselmer - Jodhpur (Blue city) (6 hours).
On the way we will visit some rural villages and meet the people, afternoon check in hotel, After lunch visit: Jodhpur is the second most populated city in Rajasthan. stand at the edge of Thar Desert. One of the most impressive fort, built in the 15th century, dominating the city built in red stone, Visit of the Mehrangar fort, and the Jaswant Thada white marble tomb, then stroll in the Sadar Bazar of the blue city. Jodhpur is fondly referred to as the 'blue city' because of indigo coloured houses in the old town, Traditionally, blue signified home are Brahmanas. One can view nicely these houses from the ramparts of the Meharangarh which looms high above the buzzing city; Night in hotel

Day 07: Jodhpour to Udaipur via Ranakpur. 300 kms.
Ranakpur situated in a quite and beautiful remote valley of the Mount Arawali. The main temple is Choumukha or four faced temple dedicated to Adinath. It has been built in 1439, superbly crafted and well kept temple has 29 halls, 1444 pillars and don't have similarity to each other. Later driving through the mountains road, reached one of the most charming city in Rajasthan: Udaipur is situated on the bank of Pitcola lake and high hills around. Check in hotel, evening free visit.night in hotel.

Day 08: Udaipur
Visit of the City Palace, Sahelion ki Bari, walk in the bazar, (Optional boating on the lake). Night in hotel.

Day 09: Udaipur to Pushkar, 300kms, 6 hours
Afternoon arrive at Pushkar, check in hotel and visit the holy town. According to the legend, the sacred lake of Pushkar sprang up at the spot where Brahma (Lord of creation) dropped a lotus flower from the sky, It is very important pilgrimage centre of Hindu and its saying that devotee should visit at least once in life time, There are large number of Sadhu who mainly congregate around the lake and temples. Sevaral Ghats runs to the lake where pilgrims are constantly taking bath in holy water of lake. Pushkar is world famous for its spectacular Camel fair.

Day 10 /11: Pushkar to Jaipur, 125 kms.
Departure to the Pink city, capital of the State. Check in hotel, and then visit the Amber fort, 10 km far from Jaipur: it is an impressive fort built in a scenic place. This has been the capital of the Kachwahas for 5 centuries.evening free, next morning city tour to visit the observatory, City Palace and.Hawa Mahal (wind palace) evening free, night in hotel.

Day 12: Jaipur to Fathepur Sikri - Bharatpur.
Early morning, departure to Fathepur Sikri, 4 hours drive. It was the former capital of the Mogul Emperor Akhbar in the 15th century.,after lunch drive to Bharatpur, one of the most important ornithological reserve in India with more than 400 different kinds of birds! You can visit by walk or cycle. Night in Bharatpur.

Day 13: Bharat pur to Agra.
After a 1:30 h drive, reach Agra. Visit the Taj Mahal, sumptuous white marble tomb, one of the most beautiful piece of Mogul art. It has been built by Shah Jahan Emperor in 17th century for his wife. Later visit red fort, O/N in Agra.

Day 14: Agra to Delhi
Drive after breakfast to Delhi for 4 hours, Half day sight seeing, evening transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.
