DAY 01: Arrival Cochin
check in hotel
Cochin
is
situated between the Oman's sea and many small islands. It has been a
Portuguese, then Dutch prosperous territory on the silk and spices
road. It is a kind of magical place: you will walk in the old streets,
visit the Saint François's church, the
synagogue, the Dutch Palace, you
will discover the
fishermen coming back from fishing and their huge and
famous nets fixed on the shore. In the evening, you will be able to see a
Kathakhali performance (extra, in option). Night in Cochin.
DAY 02: Kochi to Munar: 153Kms. 3.30
hours
Departure to the mountains for Munnar.
MUNNAR :
breathtakingly beautiful, a haven of peace and tranquility - the
idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Set
at an altitude of
1600 meters in Idukki district, Munnar was
the favored summer resort of
the erstwhile British
rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of
tea
plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of
flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice
scented cool air.Munnar has all these and more. It's the place you
would
love to visit - it's the place you would wish
never to leave. We will
enjoy afternoon to explore the

is a treat for a
naturalist with a vast variety of evergreen trees
under the
shade of which the cardamom is cultivated. One can meet the

DAY 03: Munnar,
You
will enjoy to visit Eravikulam
National Park Mattupetty Dam and tea
garden. Rest of
the day free to explore the town or tea garden.
Eravikulam
National Park is 97 sq. km. in extent, situated along the
crest of the Western Ghats in the High Ranges of Idukki district of
Kerala state, India.The Park holds the largest viable population of the
endangered (IUCN) Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus hylocrius).
Apart from tahr,
the Park is the abode of other little
known fauna such as Nilgiri
marten, ruddy
mongoose,small clawed otter,dusky striped sqirrel etc.
Mattupatti
Dam, 13 kms from
Munar, Situated at a height of 1700 m, Mattupetty is
known for its highly specialised dairy farm-the Indo Swiss Livestock
Project. Over a 100 varieties of high-yielding cattle are reared here.
Visitors are allowed into 3 of the 11 cattle sheds at the
farm.
The
Mattupetty lake and dam, just a short distance from the farm, is a very
beautiful picnic spot.The sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the
Kundala lake are other attractions in the vicinity. KTPC Idukki
provides
boating facilities on the Mattupetty Dam.Speed
launch and motorboats
are available on hire on option.

DAY 04: Munnar - Thekkady -Periyar (150 km-5 hrs)
Leave
hotel after early breakfas. On the way, visit the
biological garden of
spices: we will discover many
types of plants and learn how the local
people are using
it in cooking or Ayurvedic medicine.
Thekkady
with its panoramic views of nature, is a
popular tourist destination in
the state of Kerala. The
landscape is dominated by the wildlife
sanctuary, low
lying hills and plantation lands. The nature has a good
hold on the lands in Thekkady. The wildlife sanctuary that lies
sprawling here is one of the largest in India. The boat safari on the
Periyar lake exposes one to the realms of natures and provides a chance
to spot the wildlife as elephants, monkeys, deer, wild
boar, bison etc.

DAY 05, At Thekkady-Periyar
Morning

Thekkady - Kumarokom
Proceed
to Kumarakom, check in hotel afternoon visit to enjoy the beauty of the

Drive
to Allepy, On arrival board in house boat to spend 2 days at the

canals by boat,
stroll by foot in the villages in through
paddy fields and the coconut

DAY 09/10: Alleppey- Kovalam (180 kms. Km-4 hrs)Relax on beach
On
the way to Kovalom visit the villages, by
afternoon check in hotel,
evening at leisure. A small
village located on the shore of Arabian sea
in kerala
called Kovalam" means grove of coconut trees and true to its
name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees.
The
beaches of Kovalam
has three parts. The most popular is (Southern) light
house beach. One can have spectacular view of Vizhinjam mosque from the
further norh.Others are The northern Samudra and The middle is Hawah,
There
are optional possibilities
of Kayaking, Skiing and swimming in shallow
blue water
and to have the sun bath in exotic tropical sun, the Kovalam
beach is known as the "Paradise of the South".

DAY 11: Kovalam to Trivendrum - Kanya kumari and back top
Kovalam
Trivandrum,
is the
capital of the state built on seven hills. Leave for sightseeing
to Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Shree Padhmanabhaswamy temple dedicated to
Lord Vishnu is held sacred by the Hindus from antiquity. The temple has a
large complex with a huge gopuram. It has a tank beside it
for ritual
bathing Evening free time at leisure.Overnight at
Trivandrum.
Kanyakumari:
The land's end of India located on the
confluence of three oceans - the
Indian Ocean, the Arabian
Sea, and the Bay of Bengal Surrounded by
Majestic Hills,
bordered by colourful sea-shores, adorned with border of
coconut trees, paddy fields, and scattered patches of red cliffs,
Temples and Churches as well other edifices.
Visit Kumari Amman
Devi Temple.This temple
and the ghat attract pilgrims from all over
India to
worship and to bathe. Gandhi Memorial.The beautiful Gandhi
Memorial completed in 1956, is situated as a memorial to the Father of
the Nation. Vivekananda Memorial.Sacred monument, built by the
Vivekananda Rock Memorial Committee to commemorate the visit of Swamy
Vivekananda to "Shripada Parai" during 24th to 26th
December 1892 for
deep meditation and enlightenment. The
rock has been regarded as sacred
place from very ancient
times. According to legend, it was on this rock
that
Goddess Kanyakumari did Tapas (penance) evening back to

DAY 12: Kovalam and Departure.
Day
at leisure, 12 noon check out the room, As per the flight schedule
transfer to airport at Trivendrum and departure to onward destination.
