INDUS TO NUBRA
Off the Beaten Track

This moderate trek follows a less frequented route in Ladakh. The trail goes over passes and through isolated villages. It begins in the Indus Valley and goes to the Nubra Valley, following a part of the old silk route. The Nubra is a tributary of the Shyok river which flows parallel to the Indus. The lower altitude of the valley gives it a mild climate and richer vegetation. Buddhist monasteries flourished in the valley.

The trek exposes you to high altitude and a dry   landscape.  The highest point during the trek is Digar la (5360m) and by road it is Khardungla (5600m).
