DAY 01: Arrive
Delhi.
Assistance upon arrival and
Transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 02: Delhi - Guwahati - Kaziranga: 217
kms.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to
Guwahati, on arrival in Guwahati, drive to Kaziranga, night in hotel.
DAY 03:
Kaziranga
Early morning game viewing at the
park with an elephant safari. wereturn back to the hotel for break fast and
continue the jeep safari inside the park. Speciality is the one horned Rhino.
Other attractions are Wild Elephants, Wild Boar, Deers and Tiger. rest of the time
at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 04: Kaziranga - Majoli via Jorhat -108 kms.
Early morning game viewing at the park
with an elephant safari to view the one horned Rhino. We return back to the hotel
for break fast and depart for Majoli.Passing by Jorhat, the nerve centre of the
Indian tea industry, is surrounded by splendid tea gardens. The chief attraction
of Jorhat is the 776 sq km Majhali locates on middle of the Brahmaputra and the
Subansiri rivers in Assam, is the largest river island in the world, is inhabited
by Deori tribals.you will be transferd by ferry boat till island, night in guest
house.
DAY 05 : Majuli,
Majuli is
a natural & cultural heritage site, housing 22 Hindu Satras or monasteries are
preservation of Assamees art which kept alive through these Satras. A visit to
Majuli unfolds a variety of interesting traditional handicrafts, ethnic music and
dance forms, and an experience of real village life and tribal culture. The island
is inhabited by tribes in the north, and Vaishnaviite 'satras' or
monasteries, who preserve a unique lifestyle. Founded in the 15th century by
Shankardeva, a renowned spiritual guru of Assam, Majuli is a living museum.
DAY 06 : Majuli to Dibrugarh Via Sibsagar -136 kms.
Lave to Dibrugarh, on the way visit Sibsagar an historial
city was the capital of the mighty Ahoms, who ruled Assam for more than six
hundred years before the advent of the British. by evening reach at Dibrugarh.
Rest of the time at liseur to explore the small town of Dibrugarh. Over night at
the hotel.
DAY 07: Dibrugarh - Pasighat (100m)
Morning take the local ferry ride to Pasighat. The ferry ride will be
approx 04-05 hours. Upon arrival check in at the guest house. Rest of the time
hiking in the village around Pasighat and in the town.
DAY 08: Pasighat - ALONG
(300m) Distance: 100 kilometers Duration: 05 hours
Along the headquarter of West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh located at an
altitude of 300m are the inhabitants of Adi (Gallong) tribes. Adi has different
sub tribe, which differ from each other's like Adi (Gallong, Minyong, Pasi,
Padam, Bori, and Bokar). Interesting visit enroute would be the hanging bridge on
the Siang river local made of cane and bamboo around 70 meters long connecting to
the others hill tribes. We will take the hike at any village enroute for the first
hand experience. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 09: Along
Today we will take the hike to the interesting village of Koshing where
David Nealson, the British explorer was murdered. The interesting walk through the
forest and fields for about 02 hours reaches you to the village of Koshing. Return
back to Along for the dinner and over night stay.
DAY 10: Along- Daporizo
(600m)
Distance: 160 kilometers
Duration: 08 hours
Daporijo is the headquarter of the Upper Subansiri district of
Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 600m is an inhabitant of Tagin tribe,
theirs faces which resembles to Chinese. Interesting town to walk around and
explore.
DAY 11: Daporizo,
Visit the
Tagin tribal villages in and around Daporijo. Other tribes are Adi Gallong and
nishye and hill miri, but most livings are Tagin.Overnight at the hotel/circuit
house.
DAY 12: Daporizo - Ziro (1560m)
Distance: 160 kilometers
Duration: 07 hours
Enroute you can have visit of Hillmiri tribal villages at
Raga (Nishi, Hillmiri and Tagin tribe are more or less similar in their culture
customs, tradition, and also slight similarity in their dialogue). Upon arrival
check in at the hotel. At leisure.
DAY 13: Ziro
Ziro is the headquarter of Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh and is a
plateau surrounded by Apatani tribal villages, Dibbo- Hija-Bulla-Hari and Hong
village. Hong village are to be counted as second biggest and most oragnise tribal
villages in Asia. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is tooting in women face and its
nose plug, which you will find different from the other tribe. Fish cum paddy
culture is another interesting if you visit in the month of August -October. You
can have visit Tarin Fish farm, museum, emporium and local market.
DAY 14: Ziro -
Itanagar (550m)
Distance: 150 kilometers
Duration: 05 hours.
The capital city of Arunachal is a modern
settlement built in the vicinity of the ruin of the 14th century fort old capital.
The archaeological remains of this medieval capital comprises of two brick wall
ramparts. Itanagar has extremely interesting museum known as Jawaharlal Nehru
Museum, time spent here can really acquaint you with the culture and tradition of
this region. All prototype of the bamboo and cane architecture of dwelling of
different tribes and apparel, design and functional tools and others handicrafts
are display here. There is also a Buddhist temple nearby for those interested for
some quiet moments. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 15: Itanagar -Guwahati, 320kms. 7
hours.
Drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival check in
at the hotel. In the evening visit the famous Khamakya Devi Temple, a Hindu
temple, and one of the holiest site for the Hindus to visit. It is believed that
no wishes goes unfulfilled if made at the Temple. Overnight at the hotel in
Guwahati.
DAY 16: Guwahati- Delhi and departure (no hotel in Delhi.)
Morning transfer o airport Flight to
Delhi, afternoon, after lunch visit Bahai Temple, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate,
Rashtrapati Bhawan (President house and passing by The Parliament House. evening
transfer to airport for onward flight.
