Day 01: Leh to Lamayuru (3600 m), via Phyang.
About 17O kms.
Lave to the starting point of the
trek. on the way visit Alchi monastery join evening puja, night in Lamayuru.
Day 02: Lamayuru to Wanla. 4 hours. Trek 1
From Lamayuru monastery descend towards the village, cross the stream,
ascend gradual upward the pass Printikla (3800 m) descend into the gorge, arrive
at Shilla. crossing the bridge and continue to the Wanla.
Day 03: Wanla to Urshi.
4.30 hours. Trek 2
Now follow the Yapola
river on the left and after 2 hours arrive at Penjila. Continue to the valley,
one hour after leave the valley and keep continue straight to the north along a
stream which leads to Urshi. Camp near the pass after passing off the village.
Day 04: Urshi to Tar (5250 m) over Tarla (5250 m) 6.3O hours.
Trek 3
The trail is very well marked, but
difficuilt for the first 5 hours until Tarla. There are masses of fallen rocks on
the slope while descending the pass for 3 hours to reach the Tar village.
Descending may be a problem for horses.
Day 05: Tar to Mangyu. 4 to 5 hours. Trek

Now path goes up to the mountain side to a
new pass. then descend towards the Mang Gyu. It is a beautiful village with a
monastery. Below the village is a stream, camp near the stream.
Day 06: Mang Gyu
to Alchi. 4 to 5 hours Trek 5
A very good path
leads in to a beautifull narrow valley and after 2 hours you reached in a Indus
valley at Gyra village. Following the Indus upstream, pass Lardo until reaching
the main high way about half an hour before Alchi. Camp near the village.
Day 07: Alchi to Leh.
Drive back to Leh, drop at your hotel. End of service.
