DAY 01: Delhi Arrival:
Assistance upon arrival followed transfer to the hotel.
DAY 02: Delhi/Rishikesh (340m) 224km (05hrs)
Transfer to
railway station, train till Haridwar, visit bathing Ghat and transfer to
Rishikesh. Night in hotel.
Haridwar - is the
gateway of pilgrimage, from time immemorial. Haridwar is one of the four pilgrim
centre where Kumbha is held every twelve years. Most sacred bathing ghat is called
Har-Ki-Pauri, or Brahma Kund.
DAY 03: Rishikesh/Hanuman Chatti (2400m): 222km
(06hrs),
Early
morning drive to Hanuman Chatti through Shivalik hills and further climb up to
Mussoorie (2005m), the colonial hill station founded in 1827 by British hunter
Caption Young, thereafter drive to Hamuman Chatti, overnight at tourist
Bungalow.
DAY 04:
Hanuman Chatti/Janki Bai Chatti (2576m): Trek
Trek 07 km to Janki Bai Chatti, on the way one can have beautiful
views of Himalayan peaks: Bandar Punch (6135m) and Kala Naag (6387m), afternoon
visit Kharsali village to see ancient temple of Someshwar Mahadev and rural life
of Garhwal, overnight at Tourist Bungalow.
DAY 05: Janki Bai Chatti/Yamunotri (3185m)/Hanumanchatti:
Trek
5 km steep trek to
Yamunotri, through the paradise of Himalayan flora and fauna, and visit to holy
temple of Yamunotri, after lunch 12 km trek back to Hanuman Chatti, overnight at
Tourist bungalow.
DAY 06: Hanuman
Chatti/Uttarkashi (1158m)
Drive 108 km to the Temple town Uttarkashi, on arrival transfer to the simple
hotel for overnight stay, evening visit temples and Nehru Institute of
Mountaineering.
DAY 07:
Uttarkashi/Gangotri (3048m)
Drive 108 Kms through up-stream to scintillating river Bhagirathi. Winding shady
roads swinging conifer trees and beautiful Himalayan hamlets. On arrival check in
to the Tourist bungalow, evening visit Temple of Gangotri (Goddess mother
Ganges).
DAY 08:
Gangotri/Bhujbassa (3792m): 14 Km Trek
Up stream to Bhagirathi river, passes through the Chir Bassa (Pine
Jungle), further Bhujbassa (Birch Jungle), this trek is a beautiful feeling of
spirituality. The sun kissing Himalayan peaks. all above 6000m, stand over there
as a sentinels of valley of Gods, overnight at Tourist Bungalow or Camp.
DAY 09 Bhujbassa/Gaumukh (4000m)/Tapovan (4465m):
5 Hours. Trek.
Trek 04 km
to the sources of Ganges; Gaumukh (cow’s mouth). Pilgrims come over to take
holy water and holy dip in Bhagirathi river to wash their sins, Further steep trek
over Gaumukh glacier to Tapovan for about 4 Kms
DAY 10: Tapovan:Exploration (Trek)
Full day to explore the beautiful place in the lap of
Shivling peak. This is an excellent place to feel pin drop silence of majestic
Himalayas and supernatural power. One can trek towards Meru glacier, up to 5000m
and visit glacier Lake. If lucky enough mountain goats can be seen as well.
DAY 11: Tapovan/Chirbassa (3600m), 12
Kms, 5 Hours. Trek.
Trek back to Chirbassa, overnight at camp.
Day 12: Chirbassa/Gangotri/Uttarkashi: 6 Kms. 2 Hours.
Trek.
Trek back to
Gangotri, followed drive to Uttarkashi, on the way stop at Gangnani for hot spring
bath, overnight Tourist Bungalow.
DAY 13 Uttarkashi/Gaurikund (1981m):
Drive 226 km (09hrs) to Gaurikund, via Rudrprayag,
Guptkashi - where lord Shiva went incognito from Pandawas of Mahabharata. And
finally arrive at Gaurikund where Parvati meditated for hundreds of year, to win a
consort of the Lord Shiva.
DAY 14: Gaurikund/Kedarnath (3584m): Trek.
14 km gradual trek to the "Royal Abode of
Lord Shiva" Kedarnath through Mandakni Valley, temple is situated in the
rampart of 6950m, high Kedarnath peak. In the evening visit to the temple to feel
and smell Hindu culture alive, overnight at tourist bungalow.
DAY 15: Kedarnath/Gaurikund/Chopta (2500m):
Trek.
Trek back to
Gaurikund, drive 74km to the Chopta, the beautiful Himalayan meadows surrounded by
green lush forest, overnight at camp.
DAY 16: Chopta/Chandra Shilla Summit (3700m)/Chopta:
Trek.
Trek 07 km to
Chandra Shilla Summit, from this point you can have 360-angle view of beautiful
Garhwal valley and Himalayas. En route visit highest temple of Tungnath, where
arms of lord Shiva appeared. The beautiful huge flower carpeted meadows, welcome
to trekkers, overnight at camps.
DAY 17: Chopta/Badrinath (3096m):
Drive 147km to Joshimath (Jyotrimath), winter seat of the
Rawal Sahib of the Badrinath shrine, after lunch drive to Badrinath, via
Vishnuprayag- the confluence of Dhauli Ganga (comes from Niti valley) and
Alaknanda, on arrival to home of Lord Vishnu evening visit temple and witness
Arti, overnight tourist bungalow.
DAY 18: Badrinath/Ganghria (3110m): Trek.
Drive 26 km. back to Govindghat, trek 14 km to
Ghaghria, along Laxman Ganga, hundreds of Sikh pilgrims can be seen on the way.
DAY 19: Ganghria/Hemkund
(4329m)/Ganghria: Trek.
06 km steep trek to highest Sikh temple in the World ‘Hemkund Lokpal’,
back to Ghaghria, overnight at camp.
DAY 20: Ghanghria/Valley Of Flowers (3150m-3658m) Joshimath: Trek.
It is a pleasant trek of 05 kms.
to valley of flowers, valley is 10 km long and 02 km wide. There after trek back
to Govindghat, and drive 18 km to Joshimath. If possible drive to Auli to witness
Goddess Mountain Nanda Davi, overnight hotel.
DAY 21: Joshimath/Rishikesh:
Drive 190 kms to Rishikesh, Same way back till devpryag
and further drive along with Gange till Rishikesh . overnight at hotel.
DAY 22: Transfer to Haridwar, 224 kms.
Train to Delhi, Transfer to hotel.
Evening free.
Day 23: Full day sight
seen in Delhi, Departure: Evening
Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination End of service.
Extension: one can extend their tour for rafting in Gange:1
to 3 days from day 22 onwards.
