FROM SIKKIM-DARJEELING TO BHUTAN


Sikkim - Integrated in India in 1975, this state, the smallest of the peninsula, is for the contact of the kingdom of Nepal on the West, Bhutan in the East, the plateau of the Tibet in the North and of the border of Bengal in the South. Earth of orchids, monasteries and mountains where Alexandra David Neel meditated, Sikkim is populated with Nepalese, Lepcha and Bhutanese. Dominated by Kangchenjunga (8586 m) considered as a protective crowned goddess for the inhabitants of the Sikkim.

Darjeeling - which comes from a Tibetan local name " Dorjee-ling " is situated on the West by Bengal ( an Indian state). Populated by the Nepalese, Bhutanese and bengalais, this station of famous mountain is known all over the world for its plantations of tea.

Bouthan - multiyear Earth in the magic traditions and in the celebrity very religious and printed by religion, the country of Dzongs (Fortresses) and monasteries, perched on majestic mountains lost nothing of its rich inheritance and knew how to keep all its unique charm... Past and present are closely mixed in a country with the architecture and with the traditional culture were supernaturally protected.

7 DAYS IN BHUTAN


Your journey day by day :

DAY 01: Arrive Delhi.
Assistance upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. O/N at the hotel.

DAY 02: Delhi-Via Bagdogra-Darjleeing
After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Bagdogra. Assistance upon arrival.Drive toward Darjeeling O/N hotel.

DAY 03: Visit Darjeeling.O/N in hotel.
One can View the early morning sunrise at the tiger hill, After breakfast the popular Ghoom monastery, Visit in tea garden, Zoological park, Nehru Institute of Mountaineering.

DAY 04: Darjeeling-Pemayangtse (2137 mtrs.) 150 kms.
After breakfast drive to Pemayangtse, Visit Pemayangtse monastery one of the oldest in the state, O/N in hotel.

DAY 05: Pemayangtse
Vsiit Sangachholing Monastery situated at the ridge above pelling and Pemayangtse monastery built in 1697 AD. Khechupelri Lake, is considered as one of the sacred lakes of the state both by the Budhist and Hindus. O/N in hotel.

DAY 06: Pemayangtse-Gangtok
On the way Visit Tashiding Monastery built on top of a heart shaped hill with back drop of sacred mountain Ka,g-Chen-Dzonga, after noon reached Gangtok, the capital town of Sikkim. Evening o explore the town, O/N in hotel

DAY 07: Gangtok:
Full day excursion, Lioyd Botanical Garden which consists of a wide range of flora, Enchey Monastery of Nyngmapa Order, Rumtek monastery (Dharma Chakra Centre) 24 kms away from the Gangtok, O/N in hotel

DAY 08: Gangtok - Phuntsholing Via Siliguri
Drive towards Phuntsholing border town. Of kingdom of Bhutan, Transfer to the hotel,

DAY 09: Phuntsholing to Thimphu
Uphill drive to the capital of Bhutan, 7 to 8 hours
Scenic drive, enroute visit the Khatbandi Gompa and Takti Chu Falls. upon arrival transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure to explore the town. O/N in hotel

DAY 10: Thimphu
Full day visit including Changkha Lhakhang, Folk Heritage Museum and the textile Museum. Drive to BBS tower to have a glance at the national animal of Bhutan, Takin. Also visit the panting school. Rest of the time at leisure to discover the Capital on your own. O/N in hotel

DAY 11/12: Thimphu To Punakha/Wangdiphodrang Dzong/Paro
drive over Dochu La Pass at 3125 mtrs. A large chorten and a forest of prayer flag greet you. On arrival visit Punakha Dzong built in the 16th Century was the winter capital for 300 years; WangdIphodrang Dzong strategically located on a ridge (1470 mtrs.) overlooking the old trade routes that ran east-west and north-south. Drive back to Paro via Thimpo.

DAY 13/14: Paro
Morning sightseeing includes. The Ta Dzong National Museum considered to be one of the best natural and historic artifacts; a short drive to the Drukgyel Dzong fortress, 2-3 hour hike to Taktsang or the famous 'Tiger's Nest' is a memorable spiritual journey. It was here that the great tantric master Guru Padmasanbhava flew in from Tibet on a Tiger to bring Buddhist teachings to Bhutan, Rest time for shopping or simply strolling through town.

DAY 15: Paro-Delhi
Transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi, Most spectacular flight you may ever have taken over high mountainous range. Assistance upon arrival at Delhi and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the time at leisure.

DAY16: Delhi - Onward Destination
Transfer to the airport for the flight to the onward destination as per the international flight schedule.

- Bhoutan Visa

To obtain the inner line permit, you have to supply us as soon as  possible:
- Copy of passport
- Copy of Visa
- 4 passport size photo’s

Note: Be careful to write in the request form of Visa "Sikkim entrance" to be sure to get the special stamp. It will be easier to get the permit once you will be in India.

Departure : From two persons onward
