Garhwal Himalaya ( Uttranchal ) is situated on thenorth of India and border with 2 country , Tibet on its North –east and Nepal on South –east.

It is land of myth like lord Shiva and its Worship is predominant in this region .The first recorded name of the region was Kartipur , Later on , since it is surrounded by the mountain from all side it came to be known as Giri – avil , which latter got transformed in Garhwal .
The typical tribesmen of Garhwal are Bhutias who are considered to be the best mountain climbers . They are different from the Tibetans and resident Hindus.. peoples living in the lap of isolated valleys are Farmer , Gaily dressed with shining smile on faces , The silver mountains , the sparkling streams , vivid green valley and holy shrines attract the people from all our the world
