Day 01:
Leh to Rumtse 4040 mtrs. 75 kms.
Leave
early, On the way visit Shey-Thiksey-Hemis monasteries, further drive to the
campsite.
Day 02: Rumtse to Kyamar, 40 50 mtrs.5 hours Trek 1
The first day of trek, easy trail leads to a beautiful
campsite close to the spring,
Day 03: Kyamar to Tisaling 4200 m, over Kumarla
and Mandachandla 6-7 hours Trek 2
As it is a
long day so the early start is advised, Trail goes up following the river, gradual
ascent to Kumur la 4900m, enjoy the spectacular view on the Chang-Thang range,
Than steady descend to river bank, wade through river and again ascent to the next
pass Mandachandla, Now easy descend toward the campsite on pasture land of
Tisaling.
Day 04: Tisaling to Tsokar (4267 mtrs) vis Shibuk over Shibukla
(4980 mtrs) 6-7 hours. Trek 3
2 hours trek till
the pass, again spectacular view of the surrounding Himalaya, descend to Shibuk,
where Marmot can be seen playing hide and seek. Now easy flate track on the large
valley to the nomade headquarter at Tukche, on arrival in Tukche, establish the
camp, later visit the village and small gompa perched high on the top of village,
Stroll on the shore of lake to watch the birds and lake changing its color
frequently while sun setting.
Day 05: Tsokar to Spangchen (4580 m.) 5.30 hrs Trek

One and half hours dusty trail till main
road of Manali-Leh high way. half an hour on the main road, Take diversion for 2
hours to the valley of Kharanak Rupshu, campsite near the spring.
Day 06: Spangchen
to Lungmotche (4550 m) 5 hours. Trek 5
Easy trail
till kharanak village of nomade, after a while diverson to Lungmotche toward the
yarla, camp at the foot of yarla.
Day 07: Lungmotse to Datt (4200 m) over Yarla
(4950 m) 8 hours. Trek 6
It is the longest
day of the trek. While crossing the pass, one can see the Kyang (the wild
donkeys). In Datt you will visit the old monastery and the village itself is very
beautiful to visit
Day 08: Datt to Sora (4600 m) 5 hours. Trek 7
Walking through the beautiful gorge, willow trees can be
seen along the trail; crossing the crystal clear water streams. Fishing is
strictly forbiden by the Buddhist low; on the right side of the trail, one can see
the ruins of an old castle of the king of the valley. Camp site of Sora is
surrounded by the
mountains and barley fields.
Day 09: Sora to Langthangchhu (4500 m) 5.30 hours over Zalung karpola (5197 m).
Trek 8
Little hard until the pass, but all around
amazing view of the several mountain Ranges; descend through the rocky and dusty
path to the camp site.
Day 10: Langthang Chhu to Nimaling (foot of Kongyatse
west) (4900 m) 5.30 hours. Trek, 9
Gradual
ascent in beginning and than steep climb to the pass for 4 hours, than easy trail
to the plateau of the base of the Kongyatse west (6200). You can see the herd of
yaks, sheep and goats in the plateau grazing here and there.
Day 11: Nimaling to Shang
(3980 m) 8hours over Kongmarula (5150 m). Trek 10
Two hours gradual climbing to the pass; while descending, the trail goes through
the many villages and the colorful rocky gorge. In Shang, visit the
monastery.night in camp.
Day 12: Shang to Leh (3500 m)
Drive to Leh, drop at yours hotel, end of service, On the way visit the following
monastery via. Hemis is situated 48 kms from the Leh on the opposite side of the
Singee Tsangpo river (Indus). It is the largest and most famous monastery in the
Ladakh It has been founded about 350 years ago by
Stagsang Reschen who was invited in Ladakh by the King Singee Namgyal. Another
monasteries of Thiksey/Shey will be visited.
