Kinner kailash Parikrama (Spiritual Journey)

For the Hindu and Buddhist  to perform a parikrama  is to circumambulate  a  holy place ,   as temple , lake’s and  mountains . The traditionally this  parikrama   is a long journey on foot.

The  route starts  up  from Thangi the left bank of Satluj over Charang pass  to the Baspa valley . Best time  of parikrama  is Aug  on the Hindu day of Janam Ashtami (  Birth day of Lord Krishna )  however  it is possible  one  or  two month earlier in end of June  or later till October.

Mount Kinner  kailash “ abode of Shiva ”Located  on Indo –Tibet Border where free access to foreigner  is restricted ,there fore  inner line permit  should be obtained  from  the concern  authority .

Day 1 :- Arrival Dehli
, reception in the air port, transfer to the hotel, O/N in the hotel.

Day 2 :- Dehli to Simla (1900 m)
Early morning departure to Simla by Train, After 12 hours you will reach Simla (« The queen of the hill »). Simla is capital of the Himachal Pradesh and one of the most famous hill stations for the vacation round the year. O/N in the hotel.

Day 3 :- Visit Simla :
After breakfast climb to the Jhaku hill to visit the Hanuman temple (the monkey God ,museum and Advance study hall , back to hotel for lunch. Free afternoon to visit the mall O/N in the hotel.

Day 4 :- Simla to Sarahan (1920m) 190 km
After breakfast, drive via Kufri, Narkandha and descend to the Rampur , erestwhile Himalayan kingdom of Rampur Busheher Continue to Sarahan the summer capital of the Rampur Busheher. The Visit 1500 years old temple of and one gets a magnificent view of the Shir Khand peaks.This temple is about. O/N in camp.

Day 5 :- Sarahan to Recongpeo –Kalpa (2290 m) Guest house / Camp.
Recongpeo the distt headquarter of Kinnaur . A monastery is built on the top of the town ; the majesty of the Kinner Kailash mountain is in direct vision from Kalpa : this is regarded as one of the mythical abodes of Lord Shiva.

KINNAUR :- Kinnaur is one of the most scenic but less known distt of Himachal Pradesh, located on the Indo-Tibet border. It is surrounded by Tibet to the east, Garhwal Himalaya to south, Spiti valley to the north and Kullu to the west. The Sutlej river, which rises on the

southern slopes of Kailash Parvat near Mansarovar in Tibet flows through the Kinnaur valley. Most of the land and desolate countryside compare to the Ladakh region, areas from Losar to Simla are lush and green. Due to the proximity of Kinnaur to Tibet, the life style and religion of its inhabitants had been influenced by Buddhism, mostly in the northern and central regions, although the majority of the people practice Hindu.

Day 6 : Recongpeo to Lamber (2896 m) 12 km . Trek
Drive to Thangi , gradual trek Along with stream till beautiful campsite of Lamber.

Day 7 :- Lamber to Charang (3500 m) 12 km Trek
The trek through different terrain via Surting shepherd house.

Day 8 :-Charang to Lalanti (4421 m)  Trek
Lalanti is beautiful place for camping with varities of wilkd flower.

Day 9 :-Lalanti to Base of Charang (4550 m) Trek
Trail goes through Moraine and boulder upward till base camp, camp on glacier field on morrains.

Day 10 :- Base to Chhitkul  over Charang pass (4950 m)  Trek
Two hours steep track over rocky terrain till pass , Beautiful steeep descend till chhitkul, last vilage of Baspa valley before Indo –Tibet Border. camp near vilage.

Day 11 :- Chitkul to Sangla :
Located in Baspa Valley. Most beautiful valley of Kinnaur dominated by Kamru fort , visit the fort and village,o/n in camp.

Day 12:- Sangla to Back Rampur .Hotel

Day 13 :- Back to Simla .Hotel

Day 14 :- Shimla to Delhi by train , 470 km. O/N in hotel

Day 15:- Departure
, Arrive in Delhi, transfer to hotel, day at leisure, evening transfer to International airport for onward flight.
