Higher pasture trek above Manali

Deo Tibba Trek starts from Prini, 4 kms from Manali, a zigzag trail to the first campsite at Saten. This village was settled by the migrated shepherds from Spiti, today live in the valley. While trekking in the lap of west side of Deo Tibba in summers you will cross the fields of wild flowers in abundance, the thick forest of Oak and Cedar while Rhododendron and Jenifer bushes can be seen at higher altitude. Short glacier walks to reach the Raulikholi provides the breath-taking view of valley and the surrounding Himalayan peaks, whereas the shepherds can be seen in the spring and autumn.


Day 1: Arrival Delhi.

Day 4: Manali/Prini-Ponduropa/Setan (2700 m) 4 hours; Trek 1

Day 5: Panduropa/Setan-Chhika (3000m) 4 hours; Trek 2

Day 6: Chhika-Marhi (3300m apprx) 5 hours; Trek 3

Day 7: Marhi-Piyangniru (3900m apprx) 4 hours; Trek 4

Day 8: Piyangniru-Raurikhaudi (3300m) 5 hours; Trek

Day 9: Raurikhaudi – Jogidugh (3000m.via lamadugh/sorotu) 4 hours; Trek 6

Day 10: Jogidugh-Tilgan (2900m) 4hrs; Trek 7

Day 11: Tilgam—Manali-via Bhanara (2300m) or Jagatsukh 4hrs; Trek 8

Day 12: Manali to Delhi 16 hours 570 kms 6

Day 1: Arrival Delhi

Reception in the airport, transfer to the hotel, overnight in the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi to Manali (2000 m) 570 kms16 hours by night tourist bus

Full day sight-seeing in Delhi; transfer to the bus station by evening and the night journey in comfortable bus.

Day 3: Manali

Reach Manali by morning, check in the hotel, and by walk visit Manu Temple – old Manali, Hadimba temple, Shiva temple and Tibetan Monastery in the town, the main attraction of Manali. Free by the afternoon to stroll in the market, night in the hotel.

Day 4: Manali/Prini-Ponduropa/Setan (2700 m) 4 hours; Trek 1

After breakfast drive to Prini village, the path leads through the Village by a zigzag trail to the valley floor and offers an extensive view. Reach Khangpa village of Saten, the people of Khangpa community have migrated from Spiti (Tibet in the olden time). They still move as nomads of Chang-Thang till now.

Day 5: Panduropa/Setan-Chhika (3000m) 4 hours; Trek 2

Trek through breathtaking landscapes, the meadows surrounded by high mountain ranges just below the Hamta Pass, on a grassy slope. Inan impressive surroundings, here the rocks assume wonderful colors. Chikka (the camp site) is followed by a River, Alain Nallah and its snout isHamta Pass. Finally we reach Chikka.

Day 6: Chhika-Marhi (3300m apprx) 5 hours; Trek 3.

During trekking cross a river to other side of the valley and get a beautiful view of Deo Tibba,Indrasan and Inderkilla, Hanuman Tibba (5930 Mts) and group of summits around Beas Kund and also landscape of Bara Bhangal Region.

Day 6: Chhika-Marhi (3300m apprx) 5 hours; Trek 3.

During trekking cross a river to other side of the valley and get a beautiful view of Deo Tibba,Indrasan and Inderkilla, Hanuman Tibba (5930 Mts) and group of summits around Beas Kund and also landscape of Bara Bhangal Region.

Day 7: Marhi-Piyangniru (3900m apprx) 4 hours; Trek 4.

The whole area is surrounded by high summits, hanging glacier, and massive moraine. This is true alpine zone that we are trekking in. Afternoon we spend time in exploring the surroundings.

Day 8: Piyangniru-Raurikhaudi (3300m) 5 hours; Trek.

Trek gets little steeper in the beginning and after that all the way descends down to Raurikhaudi. Local shepherds of Kullu Valley can be seen grazing their herds of sheep and goats.

Day 9: Raurikhaudi – Jogidugh (3000m.via lamadugh/sorotu) 4 hours; Trek 6,

Jogidugh occupies a very famous place in the Hindu mythology, especially for the local habitants of the Valley. Said to be a very holy place of Thakshag nag (the serpent god).

Day 10: Jogidugh-Tilgan (2900m) 4hrs; Trek 7.

During trekking cross a river to other side of the valley and get a beautiful view of Deo Tibba,Indrasan and Inderkilla, Hanuman Tibba (5930 Mts) and group of summits around Beas Kund and also landscape of Bara Bhangal Region.

Day 11: Tilgam—Manali-via Bhanara (2300m) or Jagatsukh 4hrs; Trek 8.

Scenic trail descends to Bhanara, there is an old temple of local God near the village and another historic cave (ARJUN GUFA) where the Pandavas are believed to have taken refuge during their exile. Get down to road side and drive back to Manali.

Day 12: Manali to Delhi 16 hours 570 kms.

Visit Vashisht Well known for its hot springs and temples of sage Vashisth and Lord Rama, which are the main attractions in the town; by Evening transfer to the bus station to board a bus to Delhi, night in the bus.

Day 13: Arrive at Delhi  and departure.

Transfer to hotel, free visit in Delhi, evening transfer to international airport for onward flight

Less than 30 days before departure The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore h3ly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.
    Itinerary / hotels are sub. to change in case of strike, civil war threat, you may be will lose expected places you have prepared for but will explore unexpected and for sure will not disappointed. In case of Vehicle break down another mode of transport will be managed at the earliest possible, In that case you are requested to keep patience and co-operate with the situation, while travelling to rural and isolated area replacing vehicle can take time due to lac of communication.
    The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major.     Accommodation is based on 3 star category in cities, Neat and clean local standards of hotels will be provided in Leh. While trekking you will be assisted by kitchen with with all necessary items including to men spacious tent, mattress, dining tents from 4 persons onward, toilet tents and all necessary items.     Transport is sub. to the number of person in group, for 2-4+ guide Toyota Innova, for more than 5 persons Tempo travelers or mini bus. All vehicle will be air-conditioned, except in hilly area air-condition of any vehicle can not be regularly used due to steep uphill drive, So you have to co-operate with. While trekking logistic will be transported by vehicle as well, at the end from road head to base camp and back Mule / Porters or Yaks will assist you to establish the base camp, you are requested to carry he essentially for 2 days. Rest of the baggage can be stock in kibber village. Road Road in this part of Himalaya is rough ( very rough at some palces ) in region of Kullu- Manali you can face land slide due to rainfall from july till mid Sep. and can be blocked for hours , a days or more, you may miss the places expected to visit, or will visit the unexpected places, to regulate the situation the team at the spot will do the best possible at the moment. Road in India are being widen So please don’t compare the driving time as estimated in developed nation.

Sleeping bag (-10/-15°C ) small pillow if you required , A light towel, a knife, a role of toilet paper, a plastic bowl for shaving ( for men, a large plastic bag to protect your clothing inside the bag, wet tissue paper, fanny pack to keep safely your important doc as passport, insurance paper, credit cards, money, Multifunctional knife, lighters, wooden pencils and pen, string of 4-55 meters to dry the clothing or other purpose, English –Hindi dictionary to learn the important words to greet and to communicate with locals and a note book can be useful to engrave your memory in it .
    Pre-travel conditioning is very desirable, as more you are prepared the more you enjoy the trips. For such trekking trips required good physic. As we gain altitude slowly, so we get acclimatize naturally. And for the vast majority the slow ascent to height will produce minimum effects. The most important attribute for any adventure travel trip is positive attitude.
