Hampta Pass Trek starts from Manali through lush green forest, alpine meadows (in summer full of wild flowers) to the semi-desert regions of Lahoul over Hampta pass. On a clear day one can have an excellent view of Indrakila, Deo Tibba and Indraasan. Entering in Chandra valley surrounded by magnificent high mountainous rage, reached to the legendary lake of Chandra Tal (Moon Lake), the summer house of legendary Himalayan shepherds. Follow the alpine trail along with Chandra River opposite of Chandra—Bhaga, Moulkila, Tila and Karang mountain range till Baralachala. Vehicle will be waiting for further drive to the central Lahoul, explore ancient temples and the monasteries.

DAY 1:-Arrival Delhi

Reception in airport, transfer to the hotel, O/N in hotel.

DAY 2:- Delhi to Manali (2000 m) 570 kms 16 hours, by night tourist bus

Full day sight seen in Delhi; evening transfer to bus station, night in a comfortable bus.

DAY 3:- Manali

Morning reached Manali, check in hotel; visit old Manali, Hadimba temple, Shiva temple and the Tibetan monastery in the town are main attraction, afternoon free in town, night in the hotel.
Manali:-Manali is situated in the north of the Kullu valley at the elevation of about 1950 mtrs, surrounded by the mountains and the lush green forest. The Beas River is flowing through the middle of the valley and draining the fertile land of the Punjab; it originates from a spring, just bellow the Rohtang pass. It is a centre for the trekkers (adventure tourism) who lead their caravans to the various destinations of the western Himalaya (Lahoul/Spiti, Kinnaur, Ladakh, Zanskar) as well as to the other destinations. The people are by nature honest, humble, loving and compassionate. They are Hindu and some migrated Buddhist too, good relation exist in between of them. The name of Manali is derived from Manu, who is said to be the first man on the earth, as Adam and Eve in Christianity. The temple has been built in the old Manali at the distance of 2 km500 m from the new Manali; several Hindu deities’ temples are in the valley, which is the reason why the valley is called «the valley of God».

DAY 4:- Manali to Marsu, Saten (2500 mtrs.) 5 hours; Trek 1

After breakfast drive to Prini village, the path leads through the village in a zigzag trail that leads to the valley floor and offers an extensive view. Now an easy path leads to the Khangpa village of Saten, the people living here have migrated from Spiti (Tibet in the olden time). The Khangpa community used to move as Nomad in Chang-Thang.

DAY 5:- Marsu, Saten to Balu Gyra (3300 mtrs) 5 hours; Trek 2

The trail begins by flat walking through the forest of Mapple, Silver Fir, Pine and Oak, paved by the grass and stone and fields of the wild flowers. Twice have to cross the river, the bank sloping down from the high cliffs all around and ideal location for the end of the day.

DAY 6:- Balu Gyra to Shea Gahru (3700 mtrs.) over Hamta pass (4200 mtrs.) 5 to 6 hours; Trek 3

The trail begins to ascend toward to the mighty Hamta pass and soon the distant valley of Lahoul/Spiti comes in the view. From the pass one can enjoy the view of magnificent Himalayan peaks like Deo Tibba, Indra Asan, Indra Kila. Slowly landscape starts getting rugged, one hour descend to the meadow of Shea Gahru, beautiful campsite on the foot of the glacier.

DAY 7:- Shea Gahru to Chhatru (3360 mtrs); Trek6

The trail descends toward the left bank of the, ‘nalla’. Soon the Chandra River is in view, after 3 hours of trek reached at the beautiful campsite, after noon at leisure.

DAY 8:- Chhatru to Chhota Dara (3440 mtrs.) 5 Hours; Trek 5

Easy walks on the dusty and rough road to the opposite of the Chandra river between C.B. range and Chhota Shigri Range.

DAY 9:- Chhota Dara to Batal (3640 mtrs) 5 hours; Trek 6

Easy walk, once again on the same dusty road. Right of the trail opposite of the Chandra river the Bara Shigri range offers a magnificent view of the Lalana, Papsura, Dharamsura (White sale), Shangrila and many other prominent peaks of the range as well as one of the world longest glacier.

DAY 10:- Batal to Chandra Tal (4200 mtrs) 5 to 6 hours; Trek 7

One of the most beautiful trail of the trek offers you a wonderful view of the Chandra valley as well as the now carpet mountain of the C.B range and Mul Kila. Shepherdss from the Kangra valley are with their flocks in the valley. Visit around the valley, meet the shepherds, but be careful of the dogs.

DAY 11:- Chandra Tal to Topko-Yongmo (4370 mtrs) 6 hours; Trek 8

Very easy but a long walk with the scenery of the mountainous Chandra-Bhaga (C.B.) range on the opposite side. Camp nearby the river or just before or after crossing the river, all trekkers are advised to put on the sneakers while crossing the river.

DAY 12:- Topko-Yongmo to Topko-Gongmo (4450 mtrs) 3 to 4 hours; Trek 9

Another river crossing is involved today, if you arrive before noon. Afternoon it is advised not to cross the river, because water level can increase rapidly due to the perpetual heat on the glacier. So one should cross as early as possible even one has to camp early day before wade through the river.

DAY 13:- Topko-Gongmo to base of Baralacha (4550mtrs); Short trek 10

Just crossing the river, the camp site is after one hour, near the shepherds. Pitch your tents, hot lunch will be prepared and afternoon free time to stroll around, one can study the wild flowers.

DAY 14:- Base to Baralacha-la drive to Jispa over Baralachala (4800 mtrs) 4 hours; Trek 11

Gradual ascend upward the pass Baralacha-la, wade through a small but chilled Yamen stream. After a while you will see the prayer flags flattering on the top of Baralacha-la where drivers are waiting with jeep to pick you up till Manali. Breathtaking drive to Jispa, visit the village and monastery, camp overnight.

DAY 15:- Jispa to Udaipur, (98 kms via Trilokinath) (2500 mtrs.)

Visit Keylong, administrative headquarter of the tribal dist. of Lahoul and Spiti. Drive in Chenab valley to visit the temple of Trilokinath (Shiva) 11th century old, wooden temple of Mrikula Devi in Udaipur, O/N in the camp.

DAY16:-Udaipur to Manali, 165 kms (1950 mtrs)

Scenic drive through several villages of Lahoul; Passport required for checking at Koksar. Snake curved road to the Rohtangpass (3950 mtrs ) providing a magnificent view of surrounding Himalayas. Long descend of 51 kms, fields of wild flower and cascading waterfall accompany you till Manali, O/N in hotel.

DAY 17:- Explore Manali

Visit Nagar castle, Roerich art gallery, Shiva temple and Vashisht temple and the hot water spring, O/N in hotel.

DAY 18:- Manali to Delhi, 16 hours 570 kms

Free morning, afternoon transfer to bus station, by evening board the bus to Delhi, night in bus.

DAY 19:- Arrive Delhi

Transfer to hotel, day at leisure, evening transfer to airport, flight to onward destination. (Checkout from the hotel at 12hrs noon)

Hence the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting all above cancelling policies applied for different services.

Less than 30 days before departure

The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore h3ly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.

Itinerary / hotels are sub. to change in case of strike, civil war threat, you may be will lose expected places you have prepared for but will explore unexpected and for sure will not disappointed.

In case of Vehicle break down another mode of transport will be managed at the earliest possible, In that case you are requested to keep patience and co-operate with the situation, while travelling to rural and isolated area replacing vehicle can take time due to lac of communication.

The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot.

While trekking you will be assisted by kitchen with with all necessary items including to men spacious tent, mattress, dining tents from 4 persons onward, toilet tents and all necessary items.

Transport is sub. to the number of person in group, for 2-4+ guide Toyota Innova, for more than 5 persons Tempo travelers or mini bus. All vehicle will be air-conditioned, except in hilly area air-condition of any vehicle can not be regularly used due to steep uphill drive, So you have to co-operate with. While trekking logistic will be transported by vehicle as well, at the end from road head to base camp and back Mule / Porters or Yaks will assist you to establish the base camp, you are requested to carry he essentially for 2 days. Road

Road in this part of Himalaya is rough ( very rough at some palces ) in region of Kullu- Manali you can face land slide due to rainfall from july till mid Sep. and can be blocked for hours , a days or more, you may miss the places expected to visit, or will visit the unexpected places, to regulate the situation the team at the spot will do the best possible at the moment. Road in India are being widen So please don’t compare the driving time as estimated in developed nation.
