Climb Kongyatse Shoulder (6200 mtrs )

Kong Yatse can be climbed having minimum of climbing experience. It is accessible through one of the most popular trekking route of Markha valley. Here landscapes are varied and the villages are magnificent.
Trek start from Jhinchen ascending few passes, traversing some of narrow gorges and wide valleys, villages with beautiful Oasis, wading through chilled rivulet where magnificent canyon are seen erected either side of banks. Plateau of Nimaling is the base to attempt the mighty Kangyatse west. Trek ends at Shang after crossing the Kongmarula pass 5100m. Further drive to Leh , en route visit some of most prominent monasteries of Ladakh lies along the Indus river.

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Reception at the international airport, generally in the evening, transfer and at night in the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Leh (3500 m), 1h 30min by flight

Very early the morning, the transfer at the domestic airport for the flight(theft) of Leh. “The journey begins there or the dream stops”. The discovery of the Himalayan chaine, seen by the sky, remains an unforgettable memory. Welcome at the airport of Leh and transfer in the hotel. The free afternoon with possibility of visit of the city (old general store (mess), royal palace, Shanti stupa, mosque), with a slow rhythm, the time to acclimatize. At night in the hotel.

Day 3: Leh –Stok – Thiksey-Shey –Leh.

Early breakfast , than leave to Stock to get the better sun rise light for photo- graphy .Visit Palace and village , Musium in palace house valuable antic objects, We will stroll from the village to village to meet the people and to see their daily activities.
Visit monastery of Thiksey, A majestic monastery perched on a rocky outcrop built in the 15th century during the first wave of expansion of Gelugpa sect in Ladakh. In the entry there are painting of protective deities and the great masters of the sect .
Shey, once the capital of Upper Ladakh before being supplanted by Leh, monastery housed rich murals painting ,well restored and represent the 18 arhats (disciples of Buddha who attained enlightenment), back to Leh, night in hotel.

Day 4: Leh – Zingchen (3400m), 5h walk – TREK 1

Transfer until Spituk where you will meet the team of the trek. After the sharing of charges, the hike begins by following the banks of the Indus westward. We are going to cross a wide tray in the shade of the chaine of Stok, then to enter by a throat inside the national park of Hemis. Late in the afternoon, arrived at Zingchen. Camp near a small oasis with some houses.

Day 5: Zingchen – bottom of Ganda La (4500 m), 5h walk – TREK 2

We go down the throat and cross the river of numerous times. A landscape of multicolored rocks and poplars through a vast tray appears then. Continuation towards Yurutse. Possibility of going to meet a local family (according to their available funds). Progressive ascent to the foot of the Ganda La pass. Installation and at night in camp at base of Ganda la.

Day 6: BAe of GAnda la – Skiu (3400 m) via Ganda La (4800 m), 6h walk – TREK 3

Of Yurutse, we perceive beautiful landscapes along the mountain. The crossing of a small valley is followed by an ascent zigzag up to the tray. We continue then about 3 hours along the mountain up to the pass Ganda La. A long easy descent towards Shingo leads us through parades of magnificent landscapes. Having come down approximately 2 hours, we arrive in the valley of Markha where a beautiful ground serves us as campsite to Skiu.

Day 7: Skiu – Markha, (3710 m), 7h walk – TREK 4

The day begins on the right bank of Markha: attractive path with a lot of vegetation. Several successive crossings left bank, right bank lead us to Chaluk (few houses). New crossings which are linked before achieving, after a short rise, but stiff, the beautiful village of Markha. We establish our camp near the river.

Day 8: Markha – Tchatchutse (3750 m), 5h walk – TREK 5

The track goes back up the main valley, the right bank. The path is sometimes difficult in the bed of the river. Before arriving at the village of Hankar, we visit the monastery of Humlung, along the river. Little beyond Hankar, we abandon a wide valley on our right. We take a narrow valley going up higher and which obliges us to cross a bridge to has the left bank to reach the pasture of Tchatchutse. Installation of the bivouac.

Day 9: Tchatchutse – Base du Kang yatse (5040 m), 5h walk – TREK 6

The path rises very gradually, the river being rather far in our left. We continue near a small lake, then cross the pastures where are often herds of the yaks. It is one of the most beautiful high valleys of Ladakh. Camp at feet of the summit. In the evening, stroll of gratitude for the climbers until 5 400 m to acclimatize to the height.

Day 10: Kang Yatse expedition (6220 m) – Nimaling (4700 m) – TREK 7 + Expedition

Departure between 2 am and 4 AM in the morning. 5 to 7 hours of ascent are approximately needed to reach the summit, easily accessible by a snowy but a little bit technical slope. After this extraordinary expedition, return in the camp of Nimaling.
Those who are not interested in the ascent will have been able to walk on the beautiful tray of Nimaling, in the discovery of the sheepfolds of height.

Day 11: Security day – TREK 8

This day is necessary in case of bad weather the day before for the ascent of Kang Yatse. If we might weather in the daytime, we leave then for a new stroll on the meeting of the shepherds and their herds. Return in the afternoon and rest. At night in the same camp as watches over it.

Day 12: Nimaling – Shang via Konmaru La pass(5 150 m), 7/8h walk – TREK 9

A rise wound about 2 hours waits for us to reach the pass of Konmaru La, offering us then a panoramic view on the valley, as well as on the distant chains of Zanskar. Then we continue by a stiff descent zigzag on the other side of Konmaru La. The track crosses the magnificent bed of the river and continues by a difficult slope for horses. After several crossings of river, arrived at Shang. Beautiful camp in copses. We can visit a small gompa not far from the village.

Day 13: Shang – Leh, via Hemis 60 Km – 2h

Vehicles join us in the morning and departure for Leh. En route visit Hemis monastery. A mass of splendid architecture on a green hill has been built by the inveterate royal architect Singe Namgyal in1630 . the monastery belongs to Drukpa sect of Buddhism , site is privileged for Namgyal dynasty , its mural painting represent the different divinities dated back to 18th sanctuary. there is a huge Thanka reputed to be the Largest in existence which is exhibited once in every twelve years, Afternoon free at Leh. Night in hotel.

Day 14: Day at Leh.

Day at leisure or to visit at your own rhythm. Night in hotel.

Day 15: Leh – Delhi, and departure.

Morning as per fight schedule transfer to the domestic airport of Leh and flight to Delhi. Visit of old Delhi, Grand mosque and Red Fort. By evening transfer at the international airport.

All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

1: 60 days or more before departure: The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (€ 40 per persons or equivalent in other currency), bank charges subject to the bank policies, when booking domestic flights, the Cancellation fee subject to airline policies at present or if the tickets are non- refundable in that case the full amount of the ticket will be retained. The hotels are reserved and must be paid in advance; the company will apply the cancellation policies of hotels. Cancelation charge for train tickets and other ground transport and related services if needed to be booked in advance. Hence the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting all above cancelation policies applied for different services.

3: Less than 30 days before departure: The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.

Itinerary / hotels are sub. to change in case of strike, civil war threat, you may be will lose expected places you have prepared for but will explore unexpected and for sure will not disappointed.

In case of Vehicle break down another mode of transport will be managed at the earliest possible, In that case you are requested to keep patience and co-operate with the situation, while travelling to rural and isolated area replacing vehicle can take time due to lac of communication. .

The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot.

The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.

Our chef will prepare verities of Indian, Chinese and Continental vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, Chefs on trek are used to cook for the western guest and pay their attention to dose the spice, Breakfast and dinner will be served at camp, lunch is always packed, Afternoon snacks is served with hot beverages as f tea and coffee.

While driving, sub. to the number of persons in group, for 2-4+ guide Toyota Innova, for more than 5 persons Tempo travelers or mini bus. All vehicle will be air-conditioned, except in hilly area air-condition of any vehicle cannot be regularly used due to steep uphill drive, so you have to co-operate with. While trekking logistic will be transported. by mule or Ponies, you are requested to not carry more than 15 kgs as domestic airline limit the weight till 15 kgs. Exceeding 15kgs of weight will result the surcharges as per the airline law, even excess baggage’s will increase the weight on animal back which we should understand and respect the limit.

you will use road for sight seen and to reach at the starting point of trek and from the end of the trek to Leh. But still you can face land slide due to unusual rainfall in Leh and can be blocked for few hours or for a day. you may miss the places expected to visit, or will visit the unexpected places, to regulate the situation the team at the spot will do the best possible at the moment. Road in India are being widen So please don’t compare the driving time as estimated in developed nation.
