There was time when to enter in this hidden kingdom was not in reach to the majority of traveler except central part, unless for those who could walk over high passes elevating above 4800mtrs to 5090mtrs. Your discovery journey will start from Manali located in lap of Himalaya at elevation of 2000m. further to semi desert valley of Lahoul and to Zanskar over Shingo la pass (5090m). The journey will follow the epic trekking route of Zanskar amidst the valley. It allows to explore less frequented villages and Buddhist monasteries located deep in the isolated locations of Zanskar range of Himalaya.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Manali & Local (Pickup & Local).

Report at Manali hotel In the afternoon you’ll visit Manu Temple, Hadimba temple & Mall road. Return back to hotel for the night.

Day 2: Manali to Padam

Start your journey early in the morning, cross Solang, Atal tunnel, Sissu, Jispa and Shikula pass which is the Gateway to Zanskar valley. Stop at Gombo Rangjon for lunch and drive continuously until you reach padam. on arrival, explore the town by walk in the evening or rest, followed with Dinner & Stay.

Day 3: Padam day visit

After breakfast, we'll begin our sightseeing tour, starting with Zangla Fort and Stongde Monastery, both located about 40 kilometers away. After visiting these attractions, we'll return to Padam town for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll visit Karsha Monastery, the largest monastery in the valley, and then spend some time at Sani Monastery, which is surrounded by a small lake. We'll return to town for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Padam- Gombo

Today is one of our most important day for visit. We have our early breakfast and drive to Purney and do a hike to phugtal Monastery. Return back to purney for lunch and drive further to Gombo rangjon. Here we stay in the camp in the domain of Gombo Mountain as known as Mahakal’s Mountain. Take the moment of capturing starry night with milkyway in the night.

Day 5: Gombo- manali & Drop at bus stand

Today we bid goodbye with unforgettable memories. After breakfast we ascend to shinkula pass again and drive toward Manali. It’ll be a drive of around 4-5hrs. our car will drop you at Manali Volvo stand directly for your further departure

    Cancellation policies

    Unexpected circumstances

    Itinerary / hotels are sub. to change in case of strike, civil war threaten, you may be will lose expected places you have prepared for but will explore unexpected and for sure will not disappointed. In case of Vehicle break down another mode of transport will be managed at the earliest possible, In that case you are requested to keep patience. And co-operate with the situation. To save the time you can be transferred by the alternative vehicle whatever is available at the moment as of local bus till you will be not having the proper mode of transport.

    Accommodation and meals

    Accommodation is based on Twin / Double sharing on 3 star category in cities, In rural charming hotels, neat and clean local standards of hotels will be provided where choices are limited. Single room will be with a supplement charge.Breakfast is included and served in hotel. Meals as Lunch and dinner are not included. Indian recipes are bit on spicy side, we advise to avoid the street food and fresh salad.

    Mode of Transport

    Sub. to the group size, Car, Toyota Innova and Minibus will be provided. All vehicle will be air-conditioned, except in hilly area air-condition of any vehicle cannot be regularly used due to steep uphill drive, so you have to co-operate with.

    Road

    Road in this part of Himalayan foot hill has been improved quite as compare to few year back. But still certain stretches can be found rough. Rainfall is noticed in monsoon season from july till mid Sep can cause the road block. To regulate the situation the team at the spot will do the best possible at the moment. Road in India are regularly being widen, So please don’t compare the driving time as estimated in developed nation.
