Day 1: Arrive Delhi Arrive Delhi in the night

Day 2: Delhi- Chandigarh- dfrive to Manali (2000m) 300 kms/ 7h

Arrive in Delhi before 4am to catch the domestic flight. On arrival in Chandigarh, a modern city built by architect Le Corbusier. At the airport you will meet your driver / guide, if time allows visit the rock garden and then drive to Manali, crossing several villages on foothills of the Himalayas. On the way lunch break at a local restaurant. Arrival by evening in Manali. Night in the hotel.

Day 3: Manali - Introduction with team and handling of the motorcycle, 50 km, 2/3 hours.

Morning after a short introduction to safety measures on the road, you familiarize yourself with riding your motorcycle thanks to a short trip through the mountain villages, which will allow you to take the pulse of Indian roads. In the evening, return to the hotel, dinner, rest and relaxation. Night at the hotel

Day 4: Manali - Jispa – via Udaipur - (3310m) 160kms- 6hours of ride.

We leave for Jispa early after breakfast. Exhilarating ride along Beas River, cool breeze refreshes the morning. We ride through the Atal Tunnel (9.02km) which shorten the distance for around 46 kms. Getting out of tunnel you will notice dramatic change of landscape from the lush green valley of Kullu- Manali to the semi desert region of Lahaul. Follow the Chandra River passing by villages, farm land and hanging glacier which generate the cascading waterfall. You will take bifurcation to enter in beautiful valley of Pattan to visit the Tempole of Trilokinath dedicated to lord shiva (also known as Garsha Phagpa in Tibetan) . Temple house Shivalinga and gthe staute of six-headed Avalokiteshvara, hence venerated by both Hindu and Budhist communities equally. Bit further is the temple of Mrikula Devi dedicated to the goddess Shakati.11th centuary pagoda shaped temple is made of wood and is believed to be built by Pandava, architectural work of the temple is impressing where history of Ramayana and Mahabharata is carved in the ceiling and side panelling by late afternoon reach Jispa. Night in hotel.

Day 5: Jispa- Purney over Shinku-la (5053m) 90km/4-5hrs.

Visit Phugtal Monastery The great adventure begins today, on the road linking Darcha to Lamayuru. The road cross the villages of Rarik and Chhika, formerly visited by hikers who set out to attack the trek named grand traverse of Zanskar via the Shingo la pass. Now it is by motorbike that you will cross the pass which is the gateway between Himachal and Zanskar. The view from the pass offers a panorama of snow-capped peaks and a turquoise lake, before tackling the zig zag descent along the Kargyak Chhu River, dominated by the majestic Gomparangjum which rises like a sentinel of the valley. On the outskirts of the village of Kargyak you can see herds of yaks, or marmots playing hide and seek. Continue riding to the village of Purne still following the river. Overnight camping/homestay.

Day 6: Excursion to Pkugtal (3 hrs) and ride to – padam (3670m), 50kms/ 2-3hrs.

Morning side trip to visit the exclusive site there required some extra efforts. Short drive for about 2 kms (work of road on progress). Park the bikes and walk following trail which at the place is flat, some sections are paved to up and down and some sections are cliffy along the Lungnak River. After crossing the bridge, you will be amazed when appears an incredible site at the distance located in the sheer cliffy cave right high above the river is the astonishing Phucktal Gompa. After visit back to Purney by same way. Phucktal belongs to the tradition of the Gelugpas. It houses the mural paintings, statues, library where stored the sacred books and around 70 monks live here. One can meet the monks who may be busy in their daily routine schedule. Back to Purni, night in same place. After lunch drive to Padum, A curvy road winds up for few kms till the plateau and again descend to the river bank. Following the villages of Tcha, Surley and Pipula remain opposite side. On the way take a stop at Reru village to have the glimpse of local life style. Next stop at Bardan monastery belong to the Druk Kagyupa is famous for its prayer wheel and grand statue of Budha. Reach Padum is administrative headquarter of Zanskar sub-division. Night in hotel/ guest house.

Day 7: Padam ( heart of Zanskar)

Leave for day excursion which include Saini gompa of Drukpa sect of Buddhism, Now take a scenic road opposite side of Doda river to appreciate the stunning beauty of Himalayan peaks dominating the Padum the capoital of Zanskar, Passing by farm lands, villages where habitants can be seen occupied in their daily routine work. Leave to Karsha, stunningly located above Karsha village is very much picturesque. It belongs to gelugpa order (yellow hate) of Tibetan Buddhism, Monastery house wall paintings, Statue of Avaloketeshwara and many more statues, where resides around 40 monks who perform the prayers and other activities. After lunch leave to Stongdey. Located high above the village on the cliff. Provide the stunning beauty of its surrounding mountains and the valley where Zanskar river born after immersion of Doada and Tserap rivers and flows in middle throughout. Eleventh century monastery belongs to Gelukpa order is the second largest of monastic institution. Around 60 Lamas reside here. Continue to Zangala, the ancient capital of Zanskar kingdom, Fort in ruin can be seen from road head. Ride through the village to admire the local typical houses and to encounter the villages. Ride back to Padum, night in same hotel.  

Day 8: Padam- Lamayuru via Lingshed (195kms/ 8-9hrs)

Follow the Zanskar River, day to ride on the most incredible part of the trip in terms of roughness of road, nature wonder such as narrow gorge, sky touching rocky towers and grandeur of landscape are mesmerizing and crossing the several passing. Exit of the gorge leads you by narrow valley where meander clear stream amidst the Willow shrubs. After a long zig-zag ascend reach at the top of Lingshed village (Skiumpatela-4200m) from where you will appreciate the stunning beauty of the village with its large farm land and monastery belongs to the Gelugpa order located in the lap of immense rocky wall behind. Follow the epic scenic trekking route over Singila (5100m) offering panoramic view, typical Phutokasar village, Sirsirla (4800m), Hanupata village and last few kms of drive amidst sheer rocky gorge to Lamayuru. Visit monastery, one of the ancient monasteries magnificently perched on the hill. Before Buddhism penetrated in the region this site was known as a center for Bon religion. Stroll around the monastery campus and admire the stunning beauty of landscape, night in a simple hotel.

Day 9: Lamayuru –Leh (120kms/ 3-4hrs)

It’s cruising day and ride till we reach Leh following the several villages of Ladakh. Enroots stop to take glimpse on Basgo fort and at the confluence of Zanskar & Indus River is quite amazing. Afternoon walk to the Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace also known as little Potala. In the evening free to stroll in the city centre to mingle with Indian folk, a city centre dominated by the gigantic Ladakh Palace where locals sell their fresh and various self - grown products. Night in hotel.

Day 10: Ride to Kharadungla (5359m) 80 kms ( 3-4 hours both way).

After breakfast you will take zig-zag ride on one of the world highest motor able road to the highest point of the tour the Khardungla pass (5,600m) above sea level. You will enjoy the stunning view of the Karakoram Range and the Himalayas on a clear day. It is advisable not to stay more than 20 minutes at the pass to avoid altitude impact. Later return to Leh. After lunch free time to be your own rhythm. Night in the hotel.

Day 11: Leh –Kargil (220kms/ 6-7hrs)

Today we ride the same way towards Lamayuru. Continue riding toward the west, enroute visit 9m high statue of Maitrya Budha ( Future Budha) at Mulbek dated back to. the 7th/ 8th century. Evening reacheCheck-in at hotel by evening. You can choose to stay in hotel or walk around the town to explore the market. Night at hotel followed by dinner.

Day 12: Kargil- Srinaggar (1585m) over Zaozila (35028m) 202 kms. 7h

Last day of scenic ride goes through the Suru valley. We will ride through the 2nd coldest habitat village of Drass and will cross the last pass of your trip the Zozila, a major pass in the great Himalayan range is the gate way between Ladakh and Kashmir. Descend to Sonamarg where we will have our lunch, Sonamarg is known for the scenic landscapes, as said Kashmir the heaven on earth. Reach Srinagar by evening, we will park our bikes in the parking and will sail through exhilarating Dal lake by Shikara (small traditional decorated boat) till your House Boat (floating house) where you will spend the night. Here is the end of your great adventure of “grand traverse of motorcycle tour in Himalaya”. Spend evening at leisure. Night at Houseboat at Dal Lake, you will savour Kashmiri delicacies for the dinner.

Day 13: Srinagar Visit Among all the wonders of Srinagar.

you will visit the Floating Market (early morning) where locals sell their fresh products aboard their Shikara. After breakfast you will traverse the lake to go up to the temple of Shankracharaya, dedicated to the Lord Shiva which dominates the city of Srinagar. There is also the Hazrat Bal monument which houses the sacred relic of the Prophet, as well as the oldest and largest mosques in Kashmir. Like the Shah Hamdan Masjid where travellers are welcomed in the mosque, the great shrine being reserved for practitioners. Afternoon visit the old town of Srinagar and its medieval charm. Photographers will appreciate the labyrinthine road and its bustling bazaar. If time allows take a evening stroll in one of the Mughal Garden located between the lake and the mountain ranges. Night in a floating house.

Day 14: Fly: Srinagar- Delhi- Drive to Agra (250kms/ 4-5hrs)

As per flight schedule we bid bye to the team and fly to Delhi. On arrival driver will pick us at Delhi airport and take us to Agra. Check in at hotel and head out for lunch. Visit Red fort of Agra in the evening.

Day 15: Agra- Delhi (250kms/ 4-5hrs) departure

We visit the Taj Mahal early in the morning when there’s less crowd. After the visit we return to our hotel for breakfast and drive back to Delhi. Will have Lunch at Delhi or on the way. As per time availability we can visit India Gate, and Sikh temple. As per time availability we can stroll in Connaught place or take some time to buy the souvenir. You will use hotel for wash & change for few hours before you’ll be taken to airport to board your onward flight.

    All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

    60 days or more before departure: The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (€40 per persons or equivalent in other currency), bank charges subject to the bank policies, when booking domestic flights, the Cancellation fee subject to airline policies at present or if the tickets are non- refundable in that case the full amount of the ticket will be retained. The hotels are reserved and must be paid in advance; the company will apply the cancellation policies of hotels. Cancelation charge for train tickets and other ground transport and related services if needed to be booked in advance. Hence the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting all above cancelation policies applied for different services.

    40 Days before departure: The agency will refund the 50% of paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (€ 40 per persons or equivalent in other currency), bank charges subject to the bank policies, when booking domestic flights, the Cancellation fee subject to airline policies at present or if the tickets are non- refundable in that case the full amount of the ticket will be retained. The hotels are reserved and must be paid in advance; the company will apply the cancellation policies of hotels. Cancelation charges of train tickets and other ground transport and related services if needed to be booked in advance. Hence the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting all above cancelation policies applied for different services.

    (1-3) Less than 30 days before departure: The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.

    Those who cancel their trip, following the terms and conditions norms as per the time period we will refund the advance or full payment made to book the trip by deducting the applicable taxes as of GST, bank charges, file charges and other applicable taxes and charges. For foreign client’s differences of currency buying has to be borne as per the present exchange rates.

    For foreign nation participants additional charges will be add on to buy the foreign currency, (hence buying the currency charges has to be borne by clients) bank transfer (wire transfer) charges and other administrative paperwork to be completed which is quite long exhausted process, we request you to understand and co-operate with. We will do our best possible to deal such cases respecting the present circumstances.

    Itinerary / hotels are sub. to change in case of strike, civil war threatens, you may be will lose expected places you have prepared for but will explore unexpected and for sure will not disappointed.

    In case of Vehicle break down another mode of transport will be managed at the earliest possible, in that case you are requested to keep patience and co-operate with the situation, while travelling to rural and isolated area replacing vehicle can take time due to lack of communication or distance to pass the message with the other vehicle those who are driving toward the nearest town or the place from where one can have telephone facilities. Or from where one can be connected by Mobile phone. Also, you can be transferred by the other type of vehicle whatever is available at the moment as of local bus/ truck, camper etc. till you will be not having the proper mode of transport.

    The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. 

    Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous and culture holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during the trip, you will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.

    It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges: 

    Accommodation is based on 3-star category in cities of Delhi- Leh or charming hotelsat Leh and SrinaggarNeat and clean local standards of hotels, mobile camp, fixe camps, home stay or guest houses will be provided where choices are limited. 

    When staying in home stay, one rooms may be shared by triple or quadruple or more depend on room size. Due to rural existence hygiene may be limited even in hotels, so need to adopt the exception. One may carry their fitted sheet.

    Indian and partly Tibetan (Ladakhi) vegetarian and non - vegetarian meals is served, non veg. is subject to availability in rural. Indian recipes are bit on spicy side, Breakfast and dinner will be served at the hotel, Lunch in local restaurant or in hotel,

    Back up vehicle will be deputed as per the group size to the number of persons in group. Type of vehicle before and after the riding days will be Toyota Innova / minibus, Scorpio, Zylo. For backup with mechanic and spare part will up Camper or tempo travelers (Minibus). Most vehicle’s used air-condition facility can be used by prior notice except camper / minibus. In hilly area air-condition is rarely required and cannot be regularly used due to uphill drive, so you have to co-operate with. For the autumns and spring season when temperature goes down, if you required heater except Tata sumo and camper, rest of those mentioned vehicle have the heating facilities and can be used only in extreme need and not while uphill drive.


    Road: Road from Manali to the foot of Shingola pass is mostly tarred, beyond the pass certain sections are very narrow, narrow, dusty, gravel, and tarred ( in progress) around Padum. A small section after Padum goes through deep gorge following the Zanskar River, remain rough till join the main high way between Lehand Srinaggar. Once reached in Ladakh, most of the road is in very good condition.But the part of Zozila pass remain rough.  

    In exceptional case when unusual rain knocks the door or high melting rates of glacier which can overflow the local rivulets and can cause the damage of road.

    You can be blocked for hours, you may miss the places expected to visit or will visit the unexpected places, to regulate the situation the team at the spot will do the best possible at the moment. Road in India are being widen at so many states, So please don’t compare the driving time as estimated in developed nation.  

    During the trip it’s possible that vehicle can get break down or road block can cause the delay, in that case guide on the spot will do the best possible to monitor the situation. In such circumstances patience and co-operation is required.

    You will walk to the certain monasteries such as of Phuktal is one where you will walk the most for about 10kms both sides. Rest all are easily approachable except few of them by short walk which provides the opportunities to explore the villages and to have the interaction with locals and monks.

    Preparation of relief of sun burn, Lip salve, Anti septic cream, Antihistamine cream (for relief of insect bites), Anti diarrhoea (flagyl or any other), Anti headache (aspirin, paracitamolzimalgin), Anti vomiting (avomin), For stomach-ache (baralgan,trigan or other diagnose) Dettol, wash proof Dettol plaster, Bandage and cotton, Balm, Anti cramp spray, Pills to purify the water, Scissor and knife are must in the medical kit. According to your physical condition you are requested to consult your doctor to complete your medical kit.

    Due to wide range of temperature and climatic conditions between summer and autumn, it is advisable to bring appropriate clothing. For protection against cold and freshness of morning and evening a layered clothing is better than a few thick ones, so choose your cloths accordingly. Cloths should be preferable be made from natural materials which allow the body to breath better. You will be offending people if you walk around in skimpy or tight-fitting clothes. Although there are normally opportunities to wear shorts, it is strictly forbidden to be with short in any religious places as monasteries and temples. We would advise women to wear shirts or loose trousers, men should not wear singlet.

    While travelling during summer and autumns season, at higher altitude morning and evening are fresh (even cold while bad weather and during the autumn).

    Apart from the bike accessory list you required casual (warm and light) clothing, example is as below:

    Many metropolitan cities is India are not that much conservative, but still in certain part of cities and in rural it is better to dress conservatively, One should not try to attract attention towards themselves due to their dressing style, while entering to religious site one should take off shoes, don’t dress short and half sleeves and are required to cover the head. Mobile is required to be in silent mode, hugging and kissing will shock the people hence restricted in public, to be honoured in any country being visited, respect always others. “Respect local people and their culture”


    During this trip you will be visiting highly revered Buddhist monasteries /temples / Mosques where in morning and evening daily ritual is practiced. When you may participating such ritual you are requested to be silent, respect the rule and regulations.

    Generally, vary to different season, Manali area and Kashmir face the monsoon rain during the months of July – Aug. it may appear earlier and can last till end of Sep.

    When enter in Ladakh - Zanskar which remain almost rain free part of India due to its arid climate, how ever since few years Ladakh has noticed the rain due to climatic change.

    Summer from Mai to August minimum can be recorded10 to 15°C and maximum can raise till is 30°C -35°C due to its high-altitude deserted terrain.

    In Sep. Temperature descend few degrees compare to summer and occasionally in higher regions of Ladakh you can notice the fresh snow.

     

    You will be guided by a professional English- Hindi speaking guide, Language guide can be provided by paying extra charges. Drivers and guide will be there to assist you at their best. They are chosen for their experience of mountains, knowledge of the outdoors, local culture

     Therefore, Pre-travel conditioning is required, as more you can be prepared the more you enjoy the trips. Minimum altitude where you spend the night is 3500, and maximum is 3900m. We strongly recommend you to consult your personal Doctor before booking this tour.

    Road condition is mixture of easy, moderate and tough, certainly this trip is not recommended for the beginners, one has to be well determinate and prepared to accept the challenges such as cloud of dust, extreme cold in case of bad weather, crossing the chilled and dirt rivulets, narrow and cliffy section and certain long day ride.

    Ladakh is a high-altitude desert area, there are lack of oxygen as compare to green regions of Indian Himalaya. You are requested to drink 3-4 liters of the liquid every day. Maintaining hydration is important to prevent the altitude sickness, therefore we advise you to drink regularly.

    The Himalayas have a very fragile environment and it is our special concern and Endeavour to protect and preserve the existing ecology. We are also sensitive to local cultures and traditions and make special efforts to sensitize all our clients on this matter.
