Hanuman Tibba Expedition (5950m)

Located in north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh in Kullu Manali. Hanuman Tibba is highest peak of Dhauladhar mountain range, Stand steady as pyramid shape from its base camp. Peak require previous mountaineering experience and technical skill. physical fitness is must to negotiate with moraine, rock, Ice and snowy route.

From Summit , you will be blessed by astonishing view of peaks sprout as mushrooms field, One after one are amazingly challenging and glorious which makes your way to dream the next venture.


Day 1: Arrival Manali (1960m) 

Day 2: Manali.

Day 3: Manali –Dhundhi  (2850m)- Bakka Thatch (3800m) 5-6 hours trek 1

Day 4: Bakkar Thatch – Beas Kund. (3950m) 3-4 hours,  Trek 2 

Day 5: Acclimatization day 

Day 6:  Base to Camp 1(Load ferry) 4800m

Day 7:  base to Camp 1

Day 8:  Camp 1 to Camp 2 (summit camp) 5000m

Day 9:  Summit (5950m) 8-9h

Day 10: Contingency day

Day 11: Back to Camp 1

Day 12: Back to Base camp

Day 13: Base camp – Dhundhi-- Manali (2000m) 3 hrs, Treks 3 and 1h30 drive.

Day 14: Departure:


Day 1: Arrival Manali (1960m) 

Morning arrival in Manali transfer to hotel. After breakfast rest till lunch. Later walk to visit the Hadimba temple, Buddhist monastery and town to buy the needful accessory. Night in hotel. 

Day 2: Manali: Acclimatization

Day for preparation of expedition and acclimatization walk. Night in hotel.        

Day 3: Manali –Dhundhi  (2850m)- Bakka Thatch (3800m) 5-6 hours trek 1

Take a scenic drive of 21 kms to Dhundi via Solang valley through the forest of Pine, Maple, Walnut, Silver fir and Oak.  From Dhundi walk gradually in beginning, cross a temporary log bridge over gushing stream, further uphill trek a the beneath of seven sisters peaks and hanging glacier for next 2 hours till Bakar Thatch.

Campsite is surrounded by mountains as of Hanuman Tibba 5950 m. Sheti Dhar 5100m, Ladakhi peak 5300m, and Friendship peak 5200m).

After establishing the camp, take acclimatization walk around or practice bouldering / rock climbing can be worth to get used to approach above base camp. Night in camp.

Day 4: Bakkar Thatch – Beas Kund. (3950m) 3-4 hours, Trek 2 

Easy trail in beginning, than steady walk to the ridge, Cross the glacier field over boulders for short while, meadow of Beas kund will be in clear view,  Camp site will be set at the beneath of Hanuman Tibba, and route to camp 1 is n clear view .

Afternoon take acclimatization walk toward the higher camp. Evening back to base camp, Night in camp

Day 5: Acclimatization day 

If needed day will be focused for Ice training in nearby glacier field, learn the use of ropes / ice axe and crampons. Get familiar with the use of your equipment. Or Simply take your time for preparation of higher camp.  Night in camp  

Day 6:  Base to Camp 1(Load ferry) 4800m

Steady rocky route or icy (compact snowy) galley to be taken sub. to the present condition of route and weather, Rope can be fixed if required. drop the load at site, spend some time for acclimatization. Back to base camp.

Day 7:  base to Camp 1

Move to camp 1, establish the camp. Night in camp.

  
 Day 8:  Camp 1 to Camp 2 (summit camp) 5000m

 Leave after early breakfast, whole trail goes over glacier, need to be careful, specially to negotiate the hidden crevasses till summit camp. Night in camp.

 Day 9:  Summit (5950m) 8-9h

Wake up early in the morning, after a quick breakfast, get ready to achieve the goal you have been prepared for.  Once on the top you will enjoy mesmerizing view of mighty Himalayan peaks and surrounding valleys.  Descend to summit camp. Night camp.

Day 10: Contingency day

In case of bad weather, we keep a day for second attempt, if all goes well, this day will be used for the side trip at base camp.

Day 11: Back to Camp 1

Bind up the camp, Same way back till camp 1,

Day 12: Back to Base camp

Bind up the camp, Same way descend to the base camp.

Day 13: Base camp – Dhundhi-- Manali (2000m) 3 hrs, Treks 3 and 1h30 drive.

Downhill trek from Beas kund to Dhundi, here vehicle will be waiting you for further drive to Manali. Night in hotel.

Day 14: Departure:

Check out at 12 noon. One-time transfer to bus station, end of service.

Essential: Route between base and summit camp is arduous, you will have to negotiate with moraine and glacier field, use of crampon is mandatory hence previous mountaineering experience and good physical condition is required.

By air: Bhuntar at the distance of 50 kms from Manali, taxi can be booked on arrival and local bus station is at proximity of airport.  please note that by bus 1h30 to 2 hours of journey.

By Road: Manali is well connected to Delhi.  Overnight Volvo buses are run by Himachal road ways transport, Himachal tourism and private tour operators. Online booking facilities are available to book the tickets for the choice of your date.

Arrival time of buses at Manali is between 10 to 11 am. Reporting time at designated place is the 15h. 

Briefing of the trip: Briefing of trip will start afternoon on day of arrival, every participant is requested to be on time.  Those missing the briefing will be not repeated for those late arrival.

To book an expedition/ trek / tour complete and sign the booking form and post or mail to the company with your deposit of 30% of the total amount by bank transfer or by payment Online through the site: www.himalayanfrontiers.com. Acceptance of the clients booking will be confirmed in written. The balance is to be paid 30 days before the scheduled departure.

All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

 

  • 30 days or more before departure: The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 
  • 29 to15 Days before departure: The agency will refund the 50% of paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 
  •  Less than 14 days before departure: The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.

Those who cancel their trip, following the terms and conditions norms as per the time period we will refund the advance or full payment made to book the trip by deducting the applicable taxes as of GST, bank charges, file charges and other applicable taxes and charges. For foreign client’s differences of currency buying has to be borne as per the present exchange rates.

 

  • For foreign nation participants additional charges will be add on to buy the foreign currency, (hence buying the currency charges has to be borne by clients) bank transfer (wire transfer) charges and other administrative paperwork to be completed which is quite long exhausted process, we request you to understand and co-operate with. We will do our best possible to deal such cases respecting the present circumstances.
  • The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, cancellations of flight / train or bus, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. 
  • Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.
  • It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges.

Jurisdiction: The contract between and any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the law courts in Manali (India)

  • This is mandatory for all clients travelling on any tour/ trek / expedition or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected / unforeseen circumstances as mentioned in liability paragraph, such loss or damage of baggage, medical expenses, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment of the itinerary.
