Jagatsukh- Consolation peak. 5050m

Jagatsukh- Consolation peak is one of the peak attract the trekkers  who has minimum of previous mountaineering experience and good physical fitness.

Following the breathtaking trek alongside opposite flow of Dhuangan river ( Nallaha) till the base of Deo Tibba/ Indrassan and Norbu peak. Climber get  experience the glacier walk, moraine and rock climbing at the end to the summit. 


Day 1: Arrival In Manali (1960m) 
Day 2: Manali-Chhika, 3500m: Trek 1
Day 3: Chhika -Seri , 3800m , 5.30 / 6 hours. Trek 2
Day 4: Seri to Summit camp – Load ferry (4450 mtrs  6-7 hours. Trek 3
Day 5: Establish the summit camp (4450m). 3-4hours. Trek 4
Day 6: Climbing day.  5050m-7-8hours
Day 7: Contingency day 
Day 8: Summit camp to Seri ( BC.) 3hours, Trek 5,
Day 9: Seri to Chhika 5-6 hours. Trek 6, drive Manali 1h30, 
Day 10:  Departure


Day 1: Arrival In Manali (1960m) Arrival in Manali transfer to hotel. After breakfast get the equipment for the climb sorted out. Fit yourself in your climbing gear (climbing boots, crampons and your harness). After lunch walk to exploring the Hadimba temple Buddhist monastery and town to by the needful accessory. Night in hotel.   

Day 2: Manali-Chhika, 3500m: Trek 1 

Morning to the starting point of the trek, From Jagatsukh leave main road and take the road (Gravel) built by hydro project company till end for about 12 kms. (authorisation to use the road is must require and is sub. to grant. Here you will meet your Pony man or porters to transport the logistic till base camp.Easy trek of about 3 hours till Chikka. A beautiful campsite on grassy meadow. Night in camp. 

Day 3: Chhika -Seri , 3800m , 5.30 / 6 hours. Trek 2

Gradual uphill trail following the opposite flow of mountain stream, boulder and grassy meadows filled by wild flower in summer. Once on the top of valley you are greeted by amazing view of surrounding peaks. Large part of seri meadow is marshy and is a grazing ground of the animal of villagers. Campsite will be set A side of the meadow. Night in camp.

Day 4: Seri to Summit camp – Load ferry (4450 mtrs  6-7 hours. Trek 3
Day to climb higher to establish the summit camp. Carry some necessary stuff (food and equipment). Drop the load ferry at summit camp, spend some time to get acclimatize around campsite and move back to base camp. Night in camp.

Day 5: Establish the summit camp (4450m). 3-4hours. Trek 4
Alpine style of climbing. Carry your own gears to Summit camp.

Preparation for the next day. Sleep early and wake early.

 Night in Summit camp.

Day 6: Climbing day.  5050m-7-8hours
Leave earliest is better, following the snowy and glacier field, you may negotiate the hidden or open crevasses (sub. to the season).  Enjoy magnificent view of surrounding Himalayan peaks, After summit back to summit camp, Subject to time availability, either stay at Summit camp or descend to base camp.  Night in camp.

Day 7: Contingency day 
In case of bad weather if the first attempt to summit is postponed, we keep a day for second attempt, If all goes well in that case the day will be focus for the side trip around Seri base camp. night in camp.  

 Day 8: Summit camp to Seri ( BC.) 3hours, Trek 5,
We bind up the summit camp, walk down following the same trail to Seri.

Night in camp

Day 9: Seri to Chhika 5-6 hours. Trek 6, drive Manali 1h30, 
Same way back following the stream till Chhikka, here a vehicle will pick you up to drop at your hotel n Manali. Afternoon at leisure, O/N in hotel night in camp. 

Day 10:  Departure
Check out at 12 noon. One-time transfer to bus station, end of service.

One can extend the tour for day trip to Agra or golden triangle, (Agra, Jaipur, Delhi) for next 3 to 4 days.

    By air: Bhuntar at the distance of 50 kms from Manali, taxi can be booked on arrival and local bus station is at proximity of airport.  please note that by bus 1h30 to 2 hours of journey.

    By road: Manali is well connected to Delhi.  Overnight Volvo buses are run by Himachal road ways transport, Himachal tourism and private tour operators. Online booking facilities are available to book the tickets for the choice of your date.

    Arrival time of buses at Manali is between 10 to 11 am. Reporting time at designated place is the 15h. 

    Briefing of the trip: Briefing of trip will start afternoon on day of arrival, every participant is requested to be on time.  Those missing the briefing will be not repeated for those late arrival.


    Those who could not reach till evening on reporting day will be considered no show. No show of participant will enforce Himalayan Frontiers to either postponed the trip (if seat and trip available) or cancel their booking. Those who considered non- shown please consult the terms and condition policies applied by company.

    To book a trip: To book an expedition complete and sign the booking form and post or mail to the company with your deposit of 30% of the total amount by bank transfer or by payment Online through the site: www.himalayanfrontiers.com. Acceptance of the clients booking will be confirmed in written. The balance is to be paid 30 days before the scheduled departure.

    All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

    30 days or more before departure: The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 

    29 to15 Days before departure: The agency will refund the 50% of paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 

    Less than 14 days before departure: The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.



    Those who cancel their trip, following the terms and conditions norms as per the time period we will refund the advance or full payment made to book the trip by deducting the applicable taxes as of GST, bank charges, file charges and other applicable taxes and charges. For foreign client’s differences of currency buying has to be borne as per the present exchange rates.

    For foreign nation participants additional charges will be add on to buy the foreign currency, (hence buying the currency charges has to be borne by clients) bank transfer (wire transfer) charges and other administrative paperwork to be completed which is quite long exhausted process, we request you to understand and co-operate with. We will do our best possible to deal such cases respecting the present circumstances.

    The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, cancellations of flight / train or bus, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. 

    Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.

    It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges.

    This is mandatory for all clients travelling on any tour/ trek / expedition or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected / unforeseen circumstances as mentioned in liability paragraph, such loss or damage of baggage, medical expenses, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment of the itinerary.
