Kalihani pass trek is the high-altitude trek on Dhauladhar mountain
range of Himalaya, is the land of legendary Himalayan Shepherd, hence the trek
is also known as transhumance route.
Trek starts from Manali through the forest of Cedar, pine and Maples,
you will across alpine meadows filled by wild flowers in summer, enjoy
the burbling melody of streams,
high passes provides the extensive view of snow caped mountains, occasionally visible fauna as black
and brown beer, Musk deer and mountains goat’s and varieties of birds has been
spotted by trekkers.
Kali Hani pass (literally means black glacier)
is the highest point of the trek.
Day 1: Arrive Manali & Rest Arrive
Day 2: Manali to Lamadugh (2500m) 5 hours. Trek 1,
Day 3: Lamadugh to Dohra Nalla (3100m) over Khanpari Tibba (3800m) 6 hours. Trek 2.
Day 4: Dohra Nalla–Sangohar (base of Kalihani pass) (3800m) 6 hours, Trek 3
Day 5: Sangohar- Kalihani Pass (4800m) and back to Sangohar, 8 hours, Trek 4
Day 6: Sangohar to Rani Sui, 5hours, Trek 5
Day 7: Rani Sui - Shangchar - Shagali, 4 hours, Trek 6, drive to Manali
Day 8: Free day & Departure
Day 1 - Arrive Manali & Rest Arrive Manali & Rest.
Acclimatization day: Visit Manu Temple, Hadimba Temple, Mall road & Monastery by walk. return to hotel by foot for the night & the stay
Day 2: Manali to Lamadugh (2500 m.) 5 hours. Trek 1
The first day of the trek leads through cool forests of giant deodars (Cedar), climbs gently through Manalsu valley with the Manalsu torrent for company. campsite in the lush green meadow of Lamadugh.
Day 3: Lamadugh to Dohra Nalla – Rani sui (3100 m.) over Khanpari pass (3800 m) 6 hours. Trek 2
The trail now begins to ascend steeply through woodlands and meadows. With wild alpine flowers strewn all around. The brilliant shrubs of Rhododendron and Birch pave the way to the pass after which a descent leads to the campsite. A beautiful campsite beside the mountain lake in the lap of Dhauladhar facing to the Pirpanjal range.
Day 4: Dohra Nalla to Sangohar, the base of Kali Hani (3800 m) 5h, Trek 3
A lovely walk through the lush forest and over the debris of avalanche (depend of season), Take a short ascend following the steady ridge to the campsite, all around the famous mountain peaks of the Kullu and Lahoul valleys afford an unforgettable evening. Camp site surrounded by verities of wild flower, night in camp.
Day 5:-Sangohar - Kalihali pass (4800 m) back to Sangohar 8 hours; Trek 4
Day start with steep climb through rocky outcrops, you will walk over patches of snow and debris of glacier to the top of pass. After an exhausted climb, you will exhilarate by breathtaking view of surrounding Himalaya. Trekking route continue to the remote village of Barabhangal and further to Chamba and Bir near Dharamsala. You will be back to the camp site with a thrilling experience of high-altitude pass of Kalihani. night in camp
Day 6: -Sangohar – Rani Sui, 3100 m 4h. Trek 5.
Descend back to the bank of stream, now take a gradual trail till Dohra Nalla and further to lake the Rani Sui, located at the foot of Khandapari Tibba at south-east direction. Once campsite to established, spend your day to stroll around, Its advised to not dip in the lake (rather take water aside to wash if those wish to ) as mountain lakes are considered holy, local people has strong believe in and respect to nature. Night in camp.
Day 7: Rani -Sui to Manali via Shegali- 6h, trek 6 and drive to Manali
Gradual trail leads on high pasture land, at the place’s steep pavements avenue by silver fir and Rhododendrons bushes, later reach over the Shangchar village overlooking the valley. Following easy trail will reach the remote villages of Shegali and Shekari, one can stroll in the villages to have the insight of local culture, later drive back to Manali. Drop at main town,

Its free day till afternoon and our car will drop you at bus stand as per your bus schedule

Note: Trekking route is sub to change in case of inaccessibility to the Khandapari pass, that can be due to thickness of snow layer which will depend on the winter snow fall rates, can be due to present climatic changes such as fresh snow falls and can be due to physical unfitness or sickness of participant. To cope with such situation a suitable decision will be taken on the spot keeping in favor of both organizer (s) and the participant (s). In that case no compensation / refund will be made to any individual or to the whole group or to the tour operator (s). We request you to accept such unexpected beyond control of anyone and co-operate with nature decision. Any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the law courts in Manali (India)

The
Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight
cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action,
political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen
circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or
vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any
additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road
transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot.
Please understand, there are
certain hazards involved in your adventurous and culture holidays which you
must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness
major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be
liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the
trip.
This is mandatory for all clients travelling
on any tour/ trek or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible
for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected as mentioned
in liability paragraph. the loss of baggage, medical expenses, helicopter (air
or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment of
the itinerary.
*It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges.
No refund will be made for any unused services included in the tour / trek cost. No refund will be payable to any client who voluntarily or obliged to leaves a trip enroute, clients are responsible to bare their own expenses, expenses of such as escort, transport, hotels and other related services occurred due to such circumstances.
Client agree to accept the authority and the
decision of the tour/ trek leader or escort appointed by the company whilst on
tour with the company. If in the opinion of the tour/ trek leader, any client’s
behavior is detrimental to the safety, welfare or harmonious state of the group
as a whole, the client may be asked to leave the tour / trek without any right
of refund and all extra expenses caused will be on his/her charge.
The organizers or any individual connected
with the camp shall not be held responsible of any accident or any unforeseen
natural calamity.
Last moment changes on program will not be
acceptable. Final decision on any dispute will be taken by HIMALAYAN FRONTIERS
Pvt. Ltd. only.
Participants are not allowed to go out of
campsite without permission of Himalayan Frontier authorities.
Participants are expected to be in discipline. One can be dismissed from the
program/camp who found to be misbehaving with any individual or staff members,
without prior notice.

40% of total program cost should be deposited in
advance for booking.
Balance payment should be made at least 7 days before the tour begins

No refund shall be made if participant(s)
drop/terminate from program at any point due to any reason.
One has to take care of his/her individual luggage. In case of loss or damage
