General Information
All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.
1:60 days or more before departure
The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (€ 40 per persons or equivalent in other currency), bank charges subject to the bank policies, when booking domestic flights, the Cancellation fee subject to airline policies at present or if the tickets are non- refundable in that case the full amount of the ticket will be retained. The hotels are reserved and must be paid in advance; the company will apply the cancellation policies of hotels. Cancelation charge for train tickets and other ground transport and related services if needed to be booked in advance. Hence the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting all above cancelling policies applied for different services.
2: 40 Days before departure

Less than 30 days before departure
The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore h3ly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.
Accommodation is based on 3 star category in Delhi, in Leh room will be heated by tandoor or electric / gass heater. While staying in home stay, no heating room are available, Temperature in the room can go under (-0 ) Toilet are often out of the room, when walking on frozen river you will experience one night stay in tent, temperature can go -15 to -30 or even can fall more, so please prepare yourself accordingly. Indian, Tibetan ( Ladakhi ) Vegetarian and Non vegetarian meals is served. Indian recipes are bit on spicy side, Breakfast and dinner will be served at the hotel, in family house or in camp while trekking, Lunch packed or worm in local restaurant or in hotel sub. to the schedule.
you can face patches of frozen road at different places, can be completing blocked for few hours or for the days due to heavy snow fall. you may miss the places expected to visit, or will visit the unexpected places, to regulate the present situation the team at the spot will do the best possible. Road in India are being widen So please don’t compare the driving time as in developed nations. 2: Mode of Transport: Non A/c. ( Non air-condition and non heater )
Transport will be provided by jeep type of Scorpio or Toyota Innova or Zylo etc. and minibuses sub. to the group size and availabilities. These types of vehicles are comfortable and efficient for hilly and to the high altitude road. We will use 4×4 vehicle where need be otherwise no need of 4×4 vehicle as all those models are successfully running in such terrain. Since the time being road conditions are much better than 10 years back there fore 4×4 vehicles are not necessary everywhere.
You will be staying in family houses while trekking for 4 days in Ladakh. Its the best way to get the insight of their local culture. Meals is simple, recomposed with additional items. Accommodation in family house is basic and non heated, twin or Common room will be allotted sub. to availability, having dry composed toilet outside or attached commonly to the family use. Rooms in guest houses with attached or common bathroom can be provided sub. to availability. Please don’t expect the hot water for wash as most of streams get frozen and heating consume extra fuel and fire wood are limited in stock.
You will have 4 days of moderate trekking, ( highest point during trek is 4200m and while driving you will cross Khardungala pass elevate 5600m. time of walk vary from 4 to 6 hours (time can be lengthen or shorten sub. to the physical strength or rhythm of each individual) one have to carry high necked of trekking shoes and walking stick those who wish to. Two days of trek will be conducted following the Chadar route or Frozen river of Zansakar, The route that connect the zanskar valley to the Indus valley during winter.
The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous and culture holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip. It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges .
For certain tours in mountains if required , a warm and comfortable sleeping bag (- 10 to – 15 ° C.) should be brought matching to your size at your convenience, Kindly consult us in this regards before departure 8: Travel insurance: This is mandatory for all clients travelling on any tour or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected, the loss of baggage, medical expenses, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment of the itinerary.
Preparation of relief of sun burn, Lip salve, Anti septic cream, Antihistamine cream (for relief of insect bites), Anti diarrhoea (flagyl or any other), Anti headache (Diamox, aspirin, paracitamol, zimalgin), Anti vomiting (avomin), For stomach-ache (baralgan,trigan or other diagnose) Dettol, wash proof Dettol plaster, Bandage and cotton, Balm, Anti cramp spray, Pills to purify the water, Scissor and knife are must in the medical kit. According to your physical condition you are requested to consult your doctor to complete your medical kit. Apart from that HIMALAYAN FRONTIERS also provides an additional medical kit including oxygen cylinder with each group where need be .
While travelling during Spring, Summer and Autumn season morning and evening are fresh hence required Warm jacket type of gore axe or else ,Pull over, Raincoat, Camp shoes, Gloves, pairs of warm socks + normal socks, Sunglasses / Spare glasses or contact lenses, Sun hat + cap, sun cream, stick to protect the lips, long and short sleeves Shirts- Loose trousers, Washing kit, toilet kit, A small sewing kit, Safety pins, torch or flash light with spare batteries, Camera with spare films and batteries, battery Charger , day sac, water bottle, personal medical kit as per your medical advisor. Consult for sleeping bag (-10/-15°C – ) small pillow if you sleeping bag required, A light towel, a knife, a role of toilet paper, a plastic bowl for shaving ( for men, a large plastic bag to protect your clothing inside the bag, wet tissue paper, fanny pack to keep safely your important doc as passport, insurance paper, credit cards, money , Multifunctional knife, lighters, wooden pencils and pen, string of 4-55 meters to dry the clothing or other purpose, French English dictionary and a note book.
Due to wide range of temperature and climate conditions, it is advisable to bring appropriate clothing. For protection against cold a layered clothing is better than a few thick ones, so choose your cloths accordingly. Cloths should be preferable be made from natural materials which allow the body to breath better. You will be offending people if you walk around in skimpy or tight fitting clothes. Although there are normally opportunities to wear shorts, it is strictly forbidden to be with short in any religious places as monasteries and temples. We would advise women to wear shirts or loose trousers, men should not wear singlet. Make sure that your clothing should be packed in poly bag inside the back pack / duffle bag etc.
You will be guided by a professional English speaking guide, Language guide can be provided by paying extra charges. Drivers and guide will be there to assist you at their best. They are chosen for their experience of mountains, knowledge of the outdoors, local culture and ability to communicate with foreign clients.
Pre-travel conditioning is very desirable, as more you are prepared the more you enjoy the trips. For all the adventure trips at least light physical exercise is required however no exercise is obliged for cultural tours or jeep safari in hilly region. As we gain altitude slowly, so we get acclimatize naturally. And for the vast majority the slow ascent to height will produce minimum effects. The most important attribute for any adventure travel trip is positive attitude.
We would like to be very clear on the point that temperature can go -10 to -25 even during the day time, Local houses and hotels are not centrally heated. So please prepare yourself accordingly.
