Learn Basics of Skiing
During the winter months we conduct ski course in Manali, it’s an exhilarating experience of skiing in powdery snow. You will learn basic Technics from walking on snowy field to the ski on snow. Your experienced instructors will help to develop the skill of skiing with in you on different grade of slopes, your joint efforts, your co-operation with your instructor and your enthusiasm will allow you to ski the proper manner by the end of course. Venue of skiing is Manali at Solang valley (or on the way to Rohtang pass / Hamta valley when snow line is higher subject to the season) which offer some of easy runs for beginners and different levels of slopes for experienced skiers.

Day 6: Back to Manali drop


Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to hotel

Morning arrival at Manali, Pick up from Manali bus stand and transfer to Hotel (15 kms, 25 minute drive) by Car. After Lunch equipment distribution, introduction lecture about ski and surroundings.

Day 2 : Ski Training: D1

Your adventure journey in snow will start from today. After breakfast will move to field to learn Ski position and walk on snow with ski, up to Lunch. After Lunch will again move to field for Duck Step and Side Step.

Day 3: Ski Training: D2

After breakfast will move to field, today’s session includes Snow plough technique, Fall & Recovery on Snow, for morning session which will continue till lunch and after lunch will again move to field for afternoon session.

Day 4 : Ski Training: D3 T

oday’s Session is more about improvisation of previous sessions with new techniques which includes snow plough turn & Basic Swing on snow. That will be learned in regular two sessions before and after Lunch

Day 5 : Ski Training: D4

On this day will learn some advance technique of Ski like Downhill Balance-Turns, Short and Long Turn. Today’s programme will follow the regular schedule.

Day 6: Back to Manali drop

The last day of programme, after breakfast equipment collection and certificate distribution. After Lunch will move to Manali market. Drop at bus stand.

    Those novice skiers who wish to take private courses, they can hire expert guide from Himalayan Frontiers by prior notice. We request please precise additional requirements in detail.   
    Instructors: They are qualified experienced skiers who have been skiing since decades. They like many country children have experienced the country made ski during their childhood, later slowly upgraded to the modern ski which earlier was out of reach.
    Age group: Minimum age require is 12 years, maximum 60 years and above subject to the health condition of participants. 
    Alternate slope for Ski:  As you know that global warming has disrupted the seasonal weather schedule, it may happen that there can be lack of snow or no snow for the scheduled date, in that case company reserve the right to look for alternate slope at higher altitude, that may result extra cost of transport which will be borne by the participants.
    What to replace the Ski in case no snow
    In case no snow at the approachable slope at higher altitude, in that case ski tours will be completely converted to the day hike to the different directions keeping the base camp at same place or will conduct different adventure activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, day hiking, river crossing.  Any extra cost if result to transport the guest from base camp to the training site will be borne by the participants.
    Briefing of the trip
    Briefing of trip will start as scheduled, every participant are requested to be on time.  Those missing the briefing will be not repeated for those late arrival.
    No Show of participant
    Those who could not reach till evening on reporting day will be considered no show. No show of participant will enforce Himalayan Frontiers to either postponed the trip (if seat and trip available) or cancel their booking. Those who considered non- shown please consult the terms and condition policies applied by company.
    How to reach Manali
    By Bus: There are night buses operated by different private companies, HPTDC and HRTC which takes 13 to 14 hours.
    By Train: Suitable train services is from Delhi to Chandigarh / Kalka and Chandigarh/Kalka to Manali by private cab or buses which takes around 7 hours of drive. However, Ambala city is connected by major railways routes.
    By Air: There are flight services from Delhi / Chandigarh to Bhuntar (Kullu). Bhuntar to Manali is 50 kms of distance, one can take prepaid taxi, it takes 2hours of drive till Manali.   Or take local bus which is pocket friendly but time consuming.  
    By Road: Manali is well connected to Delhi.  Overnight Volvo buses are run by Himachal road ways transport, Himachal tourism and private tour operators. Online booking facilities are available to book the tickets for the choice of your date.
    Arrival time of buses at Manali is between 10 to 11 am. Reporting time at designated place is the 15h. 
    Note: Scheduled Public ground transport services are not rescheduled by concerned authorities due to Covid 19 impact for the safety of passengers. Please check the latest update of the public ground transport before booking the trip whether available or not?

    Pack your all items in duffle bag or in rucksack (avoid suite case)  Warm waterproof jacket and pant, Pull over, woolen and Cotton sock (2 pairs each), monkey cap / sun hat, water proof gloves, sun glasses (preferred for ski) , sunscreen, day pack to carry for essentials to the slopes, personal worm clothing, medicines as per your personal requirements, after ski shoes.

    All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

    30 days prior to departure ------–100% refund.

    15 to 30 days prior to departure--50%.

    8 to 14 days prior to departure----30%.

    Less than 8 days prior to departure-refund.

    Liability: The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, road block due to bad weather (heavy snow fall) before reaching Manali, in case of war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other major forces, unusual or unforeseen circumstance which are beyond our control.  Above circumstance may result cancellation of the trip, therefore refund will be made following the cancellation policy.

    Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your snow shoes / Racket hiking, which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during the trip due to avalanche or other circumstance. Neither the company nor the staff (guide) deputed will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.
    It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges

    We advise all clients travelling on tour/ trek or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected as mentioned in liability and risk paragraph, the loss of baggage, medical expenses, air or ground rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment or expansion of the itinerary.
    The company's right: The company reserves the right to alter details of the services, facilities and vehicle described in the itinerary at any time, when deemed necessary, reasonable and advisable.

    No refund will be made for any unused services included in the tour / trek cost. No refund will be payable to any client who voluntarily or obliged to leaves a trip en route, clients are responsible to bear their own expenses, expenses of such as escort, transport, hotels and other related services occurred due to such circumstances.

    Client agree to accept the authority and the decision of the tour/ trek leader, instructors or guide or escort appointed by the company whilst on ski training trip with the company. If in the opinion of the tour/ trek leader, instructors or guide or escort, any client’s behaviour is detrimental to the safety, welfare or harmonies state of the group as a whole, the client may be asked to leave the ski training trip/ tour / trek without any right of refund and all extra expenses cause will be on his / her charge.
    Jurisdiction: The contract between and any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the law courts in Manali (India).
    Abide by the booking terms and condition: When making your booking for ski training trip it is implied and accepted that you have read and understood all these booking conditions and are agree to abide by them.
