Deo Tibba Expedition (6001m)

Deo Tibba:  Dome shape peak is one of the challenging peaks of western Himalayan range of Kullu valley. Located west of Indraasan peak, one required skill to deal with rocky, snowy and Icy faces. Trekking to base camp and further to advance base camp is breathtaking through forest, pasture and at the end is glacier terrain.  Approach is well designed that allows climbers to get acclimatize before heading to the higher camps. 


Day 1: Arrival In Manali (1960m) 

Day 2: Manali-Chhika, 3500m: Trek 1 

Day 3: Chhika -Seri , 3800m , 5.30 / 6 hours. Trek 2

Day 4: Seri to Tainta BC-4050m. 3h30/4hoursTrek 3

Day 5: Tainta to ABC. (4550 mtrs 6-7 hours.Trek 4

Day 6: Taita to ABC.  3-4ours.Trek 6

Day 7 to 11. Climbing days.

Day 12: ABC or base camp bind up to Chhika, 5-6 hours. Trek 7

Day13: Chhika to Manali, 1 hours trek, 2 hours drive. Trek 8.

Day 14:  Departure


Day 1: Arrival In Manali (1960m) 
 Arrival in Manali transfer to hotel. After breakfast get the equipment for the climb sorted out. Fit yourself in your climbing gear (climbing boots, crampons and your harness). After lunch walk to exploring the Hadimba temple Buddhist monastery and town to buy the needful accessory. Overnight in hotel.        

Day 2: Manali-Chhika, 3500m: Trek
Morning drive to the starting point of the trek, From Jagatsukh leave main road and take the road (Gravel) built by hydro project company till end for about 12 kms. (authorisation to use the road is must require and is sub. to grant. Here you will meet your Pony man or porters to transport the logistic till base camp.
 Easy trek of about 3 hours till Chikka. A beautiful campsite on grassy meadow. Night in camp. 

Day 3: Chhika -Seri , 3800m , 5.30 / 6 hours. Trek 2
Gradual uphill trail following the opposite flow of mountain stream, boulder and grassy meadows filled by wild flower in summer. Once on the top of valley you are greeted by amazing view of surrounding peaks. Large part of seri meadow is marshy and is a grazing ground of the animal of villagers. Campsite will be set

Day 4: Seri to Tainta BC-4050m. 3h30/4hoursTrek 3
Walk a side of round shaped marshy flat land of Seri, later take a short push to climb up to Tainta, after a short while reach at the base camp site. After establishing the camp a short hike to Chandra tal a glacial lake located at 4450 mtrs will be worth to get acclimatize with altitude, Night in camp.

Day 5: Tainta to ABC. (4550 mtrs 6-7 hours.Trek 4
Day to climb higher to drop load ferry to establish the ABC. Trail begin by a grassy ridge (sub.to season) later moraine and glacier terrain.  Dump the load ferry at the beneath of Tainta pass (Dhuangan col). Spend some time to get acclimatize around ABC site and back to base camp. Night in camp

 Day 6: Taita to ABC.  3-4ours.Trek 6
 Establish the ABC, Afternoon relax and set up all the material / technical equipment, crampon fitting etc. and meeting / discussion to plan the coming days schedule. Night in camp.

Day 7 to 11. Climbing days.
Two higher camp will be made to attempt the summit. Route goes up following a loose rock portion to the Tainta pass (Dhuangan col), Peak is in clear view along with Indrasan on its east and many others mountains, camp one (1) is pitched on glacier. Approach to camp 2 I.e. summit camp begins by gradual climbing, than steep ice climbing or rocky route (sub. to season) till summit camp. Attempt to scale the summit. Peak dominate entire Kullu valley, enjoy the extensive view of surrounding Himalayas, back to camp 2 or camp1 sub. to the time availability. Bind up higher camps and move down to ABC and base camp for your onward back journey.

Day 12: ABC or base camp bind up to Chhika, 5-6 hours. Trek 7
Same way back following the stream till Chikka, night in camp. 

Day13: Chhika to Manali, 1 hours trek, 2 hours drive. Trek 8.
Easy downhill trek of about 1 hours till road head. Here a vehicle will pick you up to drop at your hotel. Afternoon at leisure, O/N in hotel.

Day 14:  Departure
Check out at 12 noon. One - time transfer to bus station, end of service.

    Cancellation policies: All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

     

    • 30 days or more before departure: The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 
    • 29 to15 Days before departure: The agency will refund the 50% of paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 
    •  Less than 14 days before departure: The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.
    • Those who cancel their trip, following the terms and conditions norms as per the time period we will refund the advance or full payment made to book the trip by deducting the applicable taxes as of GST, bank charges, file charges and other applicable taxes and charges. For foreign client’s differences of currency buying has to be borne as per the present exchange rates.
    • For foreign nation participants additional charges will be add on to buy the foreign currency, (hence buying the currency charges has to be borne by clients) bank transfer (wire transfer) charges and other administrative paperwork to be completed which is quite long exhausted process, we request you to understand and co-operate with. We will do our best possible to deal such cases respecting the present circumstances.
    • The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, cancellations of flight / train or bus, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. 
    • Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.
    • It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges

    Jurisdiction: The contract between and any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the law courts in Manali (India 

    • This is mandatory for all clients travelling on any tour/ trek / expedition or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected / unforeseen circumstances as mentioned in liability paragraph, such loss or damage of baggage, medical expenses, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment of the itinerary.

    By air: Bhuntar at the distance of 50 kms from Manali, taxi can be booked on arrival and local bus station is at proximity of airport.  please note that by bus 1h30 to 2 hours of journey.

    By Road: Manali is well connected to Delhi.  Overnight Volvo buses are run by Himachal road ways transport, Himachal tourism and private tour operators. Online booking facilities are available to book the tickets for the choice of your date.

    Arrival time of buses at Manali is between 10 to 11 am. Reporting time at designated place is the 15h. 

    Briefing of the trip: Briefing of trip will start afternoon on day of arrival, every participant is requested to be on time.  Those missing the briefing will be not repeated for those late arrival.

    2: No Show of participant:  Those who could not reach till evening on reporting day will be considered no show. No show of participant will enforce Himalayan Frontiers to either postponed the trip (if seat and trip available) or cancel their booking. Those who considered non- shown please consult the terms and condition policies applied by company.
