Located in Pir-Panjal range at north of famous hill station Manali, Distt. Kullu. Himachal Pradesh. Its one of the most scenic peak among its neighboring peaks, Even its altitude is not that high but it require minimum of previous trekking experience over an altitude of 3000 to 4000mtrs and good physical fitness is essential. Subject to the different season snow, moraine and Ice patches even rocky patches will be encountered. Basic need of Crampon, Ice axes and fix rope will be required to climb.

Day 1: Arrival in Manali (1960m)

Day 2: Manali- Dhundi Drive & Trek to Lady Leg: 4-5 hrs

Day 3: Lady leg acclimatisation day

Day 4: Lady Leg – Summit (5394m) – lady leg (4000m)

Day 5: Lady Leg: Contingency day

Day 6: Lady leg – Dhundhi- Manali (2000m) 4/5 hrs treks 4, and 1 or 1h30 hr drive.

Day 7: Departure:


Day 1: Arrival in Manali (1960m) 

Arrival in Manali, report at respected hotel. After breakfast get the equipment for the climb sorted out. Fit yourself in your climbing gear (climbing boots, crampons and your harness). After lunch walk to exploring the Hadimba temple Buddhist monastery and town to by the needful accessory. Night in hotel.        

Day 2: Manali – Dhundhi Drive & Trek to Lady Leg, 4-5hrs 

Take a scenic drive of 21 kms to Dhundi via Solang valley through the forest of Pine, Maple, Walnut, Silver fir and Oak. From Dhundi leave the road at your right and take easy trail following the opposite flow of Beas river valley dominated by the highest mountain of Dhauladhar the Hanuman Tibba (5950m). Far east you will have view of Deo Tibba 6001m and Indra Asan 6100 m. in clear day. 

Take a short gradual walk in beginning, then follow a steady zig-zag trail for about an hour.  Further easy walk high over the river bank provide the clear view of seven sisters peaks, hanging glacier and Hanuman Tibba. Last attempt of steady and gradual walk for about 1h30 will bring you to the base camp at lady leg. Afternoon stroll around the campsite to get the acclimatize. Night in camp.

 Day 3: Lady leg Acclimatisation day.  

Sub. to the fitness of team, one can spend a day near base to get acclimatize by snow and ice activities (snow and ice craft), get familiar with the use of your equipment, learn the use of ropes / ice axe and crampons, Such practice is essential for those who never attempted to such expeditions previously.  Late afternoon back to camp site.

Day 4: Lady Leg – Summit (5394m) – lady leg (4000m) 

Wake up early in the morning and after a quick breakfast, get ready to achieve the goal you have been prepared for. It is advised to start as earlier possible to get the possibilities of better weather and good view. Once o summit, you will enjoy mesmerizing view of mighty Himalaya. Descend to the base camp. Night at base camp.

Day 5: Lady Leg: Contingency day 

Alternative day in case of bad weather on summit day. If the peak is climbed successfully on day 7th, the alternative day will be replaced to the side trip to Beas kund or to relax on base camp. Night in camp.

Day 6: Lady leg – Dhundhi- Manali (2000m) 4/5 hrs treks 3, and 1 or 1h30 hrs drive. 

Downhill trek from lady leg to the Dhundi, Sub. to the season either via Beas kund  or following the true left bank of Beas river till road head. Here vehicle will be waiting you for further drive to Manali. Night in hotel.

Day 7:  Departure :

Check out at 12 noon. One-time transfer to bus station, end of service.

    By air: Bhuntar at the distance of 50 kms from Manali,  Taxi can be booked  on arrival and local bus station is at proximity of airport.  please note that by bus 1h30 to 2 hours of journey.

    By Road: Manali is well connected to Delhi.  Overnight Volvo buses are run by Himachal road ways transport, Himachal tourism and private tour operators. Online booking facilities are available to book the tickets for the choice of your date.

    Arrival time of buses at Manali is between 10 to 11 am. Reporting time at designated place is the 15h. 

    Briefing of the trip: Briefing of trip will start afternoon on day of arrival, every participant is requested to be on time.  Those missing the briefing will be not repeated for those late arrival.

    2: No Show of participant:  Those who could not reach till evening on reporting day will be considered no show. No show of participant will enforce Himalayan Frontiers to either postponed the trip (if seat and trip available) or cancel their booking. Those who considered non- shown please consult the terms and condition policies applied by company.

    To book a trip complete and sign the booking form and post or mail to the company with your deposit of 30% of the total amount by bank transfer or by payment Online through the site: www.himalayanfrontiers.com. Acceptance of the clients booking will be confirmed in written. The balance is to be paid 30 days before the scheduled departure.

    All the cancellation must be in written and signed by the person who signed the booking form and will be effective from the date of the reception by the company.

    •  30 days or more before departure: The agency will refund the entire paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 
    •  29 to15 Days before departure: The agency will refund the 50% of paid amount to his client deducting the registration fee (INR 3000rs per persons or equivalent in other currency), GST paid at the time of booking and bank charges subject to the bank policies. 
    •  Less than 14 days before departure: The agency will be obliged to withhold the full amount of the deposit paid by the customer. In this case, the customer must inform their insurance as soon as possible and provide as much documentation to support the cancellation of trip. It is therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover such expenses.

    Those who cancel their trip, following the terms and conditions norms as per the time period we will refund the advance or full payment made to book the trip by deducting the applicable taxes as of GST, bank charges, file charges and other applicable taxes and charges. For foreign client’s differences of currency buying has to be borne as per the present exchange rates.

     

    • For foreign nation participants additional charges will be add on to buy the foreign currency, (hence buying the currency charges has to be borne by clients) bank transfer (wire transfer) charges and other administrative paperwork to be completed which is quite long exhausted process, we request you to understand and co-operate with. We will do our best possible to deal such cases respecting the present circumstances.

     

    • The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, cancellations of flight / train or bus, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. 
    • Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.
    • It is strongly advised that clients take out insurance to cover the unexpected and cancellation charges.

    Jurisdiction: The contract between and any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the law courts in Manali ( India )

    This is mandatory for all clients travelling on any tour/ trek / expedition or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected / unforeseen circumstances as mentioned in liability paragraph, such loss or damage of baggage, medical expenses, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment of the itinerary.
