A Ride to The Middle Land
Exploration of Spiti valley which is a cold desert moutain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north - eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh is full of raw adventure and thrill. The valley is enclosed between lofty ranges, with the Spiti river rushing out of gorge in the southeast to meet the Sutlej River. The name "Spiti" means " The Middle Land", i.e the land between Tibet and India. This is the least populated region in India. Spiti valley is a research and cultural center for Buddhists.


Day 1: Arrive Manali (1950m) /Test Ride- 1
Day 2: Manali – Kaza (201 km/ 8-9 hrs)/ Ride- 2
Day 3: Kaza: Visit Langza (4400m), Hikkim (4400m), Komic (4570m) & Dhakar (3894m) (Ride for 6-7hrs) / Ride- 3
Day 4: Kaza- to Chandartal via Kye, Kibber (93km/6-7hrs)/ Ride-4
Day 5: Chandartal- Manali, via Sissu (110km/7-8hr)/ Ride-5

Day 1 : Arrive Manali (1950m) /Test Ride- 1

Arrive Manali & Report at hotel on your own. in Evening check the bike, gear check followed by test ride around Manali. Evening back to hotel.

Day 2 : Manali – Kaza (201 km/ 8-9 hrs)/ Ride- 2
Today early morning we start our ride from Manali. We Ride through newly opened Atal Tunnel & cross one of the high altitude passe: Kunzum Pass (4590 meters) to reach Lossar. Untill we cross the tunnel and reach Gramphu its all tar road but once we take the road toward Spiti its all gravel, we ride along the bank of River Chandra on whose name the valley got its name “Chandra Valley”. We cross the check-post at Lossar & ride along till we reach Kaza, "subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley". we arrive in the evening have our night at kaza at hotel.

Day 3: Kaza: Visit Langza (4400m), Hikkim (4400m), Komic (4570m) & Dhakar (3894m) (Ride for 6-7hrs) / Ride- 3

Today is the day to explore Spiti region. After breakfast we start visiting highest villages of spiti starting with Langza village, Hikkim village (the Highest post office in the altitude), Komic the highest village & scenic Dhankar Monastery.

Exploring it will consume your whole day in the upper region of spiti valley. we return back to Kaza in the evening for Dinner & Stay.

Day 4 : Kaza- to Chandartal via Kye, Kibber (93km/6-7hrs)/ Ride-4

Today we ride to Kye first and Kibber village and continue to Kunzum and then will take a turn to Chandartal. In evening, we visit Chandartal Lake and stay at the camps at Chandartal for the night.

Day 5 : Chandartal- Manali  (110km/7-8hr)/ Ride-5

Today is our last ride and we’ll ride all the way back to Manali via Atal Tunnel, on the way Visit Sissu village. We reach Manali late in the noon or evening. Night in the hotel at Manali.

Day 6: Departure

Afternoon check out from hotel and evening drop at bus stand.

The cost is based on Sharing bike Plus Triple/ Quad sharing room.

    Rs. 10,000 Deposit Must be made to on arrival in Manali. You are responsible for any damage to your bike during the trip, the repair charges will be deducted from this deposit and the balance will be reimbursed once the trip is over.

    Accommodation is based on Twin / Double/ Triple sharing in neat and clean hotels, Fixed camps or guest houses will be provided where choices are limited. Single room will be with a supplement charges. Indian and partly Tibetan (Ladakhi) vegetarian meals is served.

    You will be accompanying by a backup vehicle to assist you throughout the tour, mechanic is there with necessary spare parts. If you have special requirement for the pillion who wish to take comfortable journey time, in that case extra vehicle can be arranged in advance sub extra Expenses

    You will be crossing several high passes, different type of road condition will be encountered vary from wet and humid in lower altitude to dry and garble road in higher altitude of Lahoul and Ladakh. You will not have any options except crossing the icy rivulets. You can face land slide not only cause of rainfall but also by higher melting rate of Snow and Ice (glacier) due to perpetual summer heat. You can be blocked for hours, day or more, you may miss the places expected to visit or will visit the unexpected places, to regulate the situation the team at the spot will do the best possible at the moment. 

    During the trip it’s possible that back up vehicle and bike can get break down or road block can cause the delay, in that case guide on the spot will do the best possible to monitor the situation. In such circumstances patience and co-operation is required.

    • 40% of total programme cost should be deposited in advance for booking.
    • Balance payment should be made at least 7 days before the tour begins. 
    • The amount paid once is not transferable to any other programme /tour or to any other individual(s)/group or for any other service.
    • No refund shall be made if participant(s) drop/terminate from program at any point due to any reason. 
    • One has to take care of his/her individual luggage. In case of loss or damage customer will be responsible for the same. 
    • The organizers or any individual connected with the tour shall not be held responsible of any accident or any unforeseen natural calamity. • Bank charges have to be paid by the Client.


      The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather condition, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness or any other force major. Any additional that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot. Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous and culture holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.
